I had 2 DJIs in the past, first a Phantom and the last being an Inspire. Both of them were rock solid and I never had an issue with either. At this point with this being so glitchy I would have dumped this, taken the loss and moved on.

Wow, Earl, I wish that I knew you were looking to buy a drone, I've been a drone pilot for many years and I would have told you to totally avoid the karma. It is widely considered to be one of the worst consumer drones ever made and they discontinued them quickly because they had so many problems. That's why they are so cheap if you see one. I'm sorry you're dealing with trying to get it to fly correctly and stay connected to GPS. I would have told you to get a DJI or Autel robotics. I myself have an Autel X Star premium which is very similar to a DJI phantom. It's been 100% reliable for me. I bought it several years ago when it first came out. I think that gopro drone is making things way harder than they need to be. I fly mavic mini and it's really straight forward. Just give dji all your personal info and access to your phone lol. Honestly though I've seen some really amazing footage from dji drones particularly the avata with fpv setup and motion controller.

The gps system actually had to reset its dates around then and it seems gopro released a firmware later to correct it. If you can somehow find the software and update the firmware you might have it work properly again

Cannot phantom ppls money spent on something that one needs permission before you Fly. I Fly all my 18+ drones almost daily , all Manual except for one , a trusty , non foldable Hubsan 501 without ever any issues . Send it up hit GPS toggle & film my micro Helis right under it , that much I trust it . Still around in Banged Good & about a $100 USD & RTF . Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad , Sir.

My recent Trip to Badlands. My drone kept losing gps😢 beautiful country out there. I have been getting into helicopters. Technology has made them very flyable and the y have altitude hold.

You can buy the yuneec typhoon H cheap now. They come with a badass remote where u dont use your phone. DJI is the way to go IMO. They are way past their competition. I thought skydio was going to be good competition but it seems they are going into a different direction with 3D scanning etc

Ya i got a piece of crap drone too 😂 jk . Mines that chinese knockoff with the folding arms for 60 bucks . Hope you figure yours out cause i think thats the same problem with mine . The gps compass thingy dont want to connect at all . Being cheap mine dient even do video it just takes pics but still would be cool if i could read Chinese

Hello friend, just to start out with, this drone was discontinued and from the beginning was a joke. Alot of fpv guys use go pros on their fpv drones so go pro got the idea that they could do it all in one package. We'll, you can see that was a joke. If you really were interested in flying and wanted to further a passion and extend your rc hobby to the air you would throw that turd away, buy a dji product and be done with it. I honestly can't beleive your still messing with that thing. I own 10 dji drones, a fimi and an autel, any one of those would be a better choice than that turd. Good luck but if you keep that you are in a world of headaches
