I used to live a couple of streets away form Earls Court. It was great popping over the road to see one exhibition or another. I hear they are knocking it down to increase population density and pollution.

3.15. Nice AC 427, Reg LPH800D, the very car which would soon be whisking Linda Thorson's Tara King character around in The Avengers. The car was later considered too much of a muscle car for a woman and she was given a red Lotus Elan 2+2 followed by a Lotus Europa. This was presumably more in line with Diana Rigg's Emma Peels mode of transport of first a white and then a grey Lotus Elan roadster.

All those cars look lovely to my 21st century-eyes ... Driving a GT6 between all those SUV's today, would be quite an adventure though. Other thing I noticed is how similar the cortina and the hunter looked, was that purely coincidental? But if I were around in 1966 and had to buy a reasonably priced British car, i'd probably choose that viva with its handsome "coke bottle"-style.
