I drank in that pub - to be fair all of those pubs in the early to late nineties! The Cheshire Cheese still had the remnants of the old guard of Fleet Street and the stories they told me were worth the hangover in the morning 🙄

Worked off Fleet Street from 1973-89 and remember Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese/The Bell/St. Brides Tavern/The Popinjay/White Swan/Witness Box and I am not even a drinker :)

The George Inn near London Bridge station still looks exactly like that except the parking area outside is all benches full of people drinking outside. On a weekday after work (pre-covid) it's jammed full of people inside and out, great place to go for a few drinks.
