Technically, someone born in 1998 isn't seen as a millennial because millennials are suppose to be born between 1981 to 1996. I don't blame people for thinking it extends past 1996 though considering the term seems to be thrown at anyone born after 1980. Generation Z starts at 1997 and ends in the 2010s (I couldn't get a definite year in the 2010s though). Having said that...I don't feel like a millennial despite being born in the millennial generation. Like you feel regarding not identifying with millennials and Generation Z, I feel like I don't identify with Generation X and Millennials. I would be known as a Xennial, the microgeneration between Generation X and Millennials. They are born between 1977 and 1985. Despite this...I still agree with you and Morgan about being too old to eat Tide pods and I don't care in general about avocado toast.

I feel like this whole generation depends on how you grow up in your household. For example my parents both grew up in the 80s and I was born in the 2000s but I know the movies they had said even the one rylands mom said my sister was born in the 90s so I feel like I know alot about every generation and I had all the toys they had mentioned my parents brought the 80s alive in my to our house but I also experienced the 90s I grew up with knowledge of every generation they said so it really all depends on how you grow up. Every generation is amazing you can't define a generation what year there born it really depends on how you grow up.

Truth! I was born in '90 my mom was born in '51, and were super close, im 30 so I got a healthy dose of boomer, gen x, millenial & gen z friends. I relate to it all, hense why I'm here lol, none of my friends my age know who KZbinrs are bc they feel like it's too "young" for them, I'm like dude, your 30... not dead, keep up, lol. It really is about how your raised. Though I am very millennial... pointed out by my genX ex boyfriend who was 18 yrs my senior... but I still own a VHS & tape player lol I make NO sense generationally. I vibe with any age thats LEGAL and chill.

Yep! I was born in the 2000s, my mom in the 70s, and my siblings in the 90s so I had a combination of everything. I love each generation because they're so different, and sometimes, we see things from previous generations show up in current generations.
