We honestly adore Immortal Life and will absolutely be revisiting it as it receives patches and eventually, it's 1.0 Release. It's a beautiful game to be enjoyed by many, but not by all! I'm just enthralled with the cooking in this game. Even after unlocking quick cooking for recipes, I find myself doing it the long way two or three times at least. I didn't expect it to be so engaging just from watching it, but it's my new favorite thing.

Honestly, it was the most Seamless and enjoyable experience for us. For an Early Access title it's impressive and while there are small imperfections like the text, and the walking animation in the dungeons being more of a glide then walk, but they seem so minor to complain about when the gameplay and management systems are amazing ❤️

I was quite surprise to see a farming sim game that is based on wuxia realm (correct me if im wrong) since I had a blast with Heroes adventure which is a Wuxia rpg. Gonna defnintely try this

The Chinese cultivation spiritualism is extremely complex. I've put 295 hrs (just a noob) in Amazing Confusion...er...Cultivation Simulator, so I've had an intro to the subject. I'm hoping Immortal Life is kind of an ACS-lite. Thanks for the good vid.

We've also recently jumped into The Lost Village which offers a much deeper level of management and control over the entire sect (sort of like this one but obviously it's more of a management / roguelite then this one is) + puts the cultivation of each member into your control, so the level of complexity is intense. It's a subject we've loved learned about through the gaming outlet, it's so intriguing and yes... extremely complex!

Does it work fine on the Steam deck now? Used to see a review saying saving don't work on the Deck

It's not Steam Deck verified right now, so likely it still has a few issues. Now that the game is in 1.0, it's likely that they might work on the support for Steam Deck and other consoles, but for now there's no news about it yet.

No, only a roommate system for now. They've gone back and forth about adding one but it doesn't seem to align with the developers want for the game, so it's unlikely that it'll be added.

@@thepillowfortgaming Okay thanks! With so many farming sims and me having limited funds, I have to find some means of narrowing things down and romance for me is mandatory automatically. It also has to be implemented well too because even if romance is included, if it's more of an 'after thought' and chars aren't engaging, I won't get the game either. It's why I am not getting Fae Farm (plus the price is a detractor too).

Hmmmm... in terms of romance, Moonstone Island and Coral Island are likely the go-tos from 2023! Cattails Wildwood Story also offers a pretty in-depth romance system and New Game + as your children feature, but it's cats, so we're not sure if that's quite what you're looking for. @@Zodia195

I don't like the look of the Battle mechanics of Moonstone island though and the thought of Cattails Wildwood, the concept doesn't interest me lol. See, I have to be picky lol. Currently I am playing (and obsessing) over Sun Haven lol.

Sun Haven is without a doubt one of our favorites, so an EXCELLENT choice! We're only a few hours into Coral Island, but we adore games with high fantasy and elemental magic, so it scratches that itch for us!@@Zodia195 Always so fun to see how people differ in the gaming world, hopefully 2024 can offer you something juicy!

never have i watched a review video where 50% of the review went to explaining the player's personal gaming preferences 😂

Knowing the reviewers gaming preferences is critical to knowing whether or not they have experience in the genre, and if they're going to have any biased towards it. Our community can then use this information to see if their gaming preferences align with ours, or if they have different styles and preferences in games and can know whether or not they'll have the same enjoyment level of the game. It's a critical element that almost every reviewer leaves out, when EVERY. Single. Gamer. Has a biased preference towards a genre(s). If the consumer doesn't know those preferences, how can they judge whether a review is coming from someone educated on the topic, and enjoys the genre, vs. someone that's reviewing the game only because they have a contractual agreement to the developer or publisher, and therefore they just push out a forced review that downplays how good a game is (or up-play in the reverse instance), and leaves a consumer uneducated or unsatisfied. Often times these reviews are overly negative purely based on the fact that the reviewer doesn't enjoy the game. Therefore, we ensure we *always* educate our community on our gaming preferences in a review video, and what about the game played into what we enjoy. If you're the person that enjoys the opposite, you'll know its probably better that you avoid the game ❤️
