Early Childhood Education at an International School

Ilona has been an early childhood education teacher for 15 years, from which seven years at an international school in China. She combines her preschool teaching background from BCU in Canada, which was play-based, with the more academic centric environment in China. At QSI international school she teaches the 4 year old class and after all these years, she still thinks kids are the best gift we have.
In this video we discuss the play-based method vs academic centric methods, the challenges of teaching kids who can't speak English yet, and her best advice to parents.
