While yes this may be shared in other countries, China has a very long history. Most average around 20,000 a year. Half of them make below minimum wage. This IS uncommon for an entire Nation as a whole. Just finished a Chinese show where the girls first job was 200 Yuan a month, her second job is 7,000 Yuan a month which is considerably higher. In total she will make 11,000 US dollars a year. I figured maybe China made up for this by pricing things pretty low. Nope.

Thank you for this thoughtful conversation. I have so much respect for Joe's perseverance and talent in pursuing a career in two languages. But most of all, kindness in navigating the challenges Asian Americans might face on stage and speaking up against mistreatment.

Dongguan is the sex city of china, prostitutes are mostly being kidnapped when they was young and they were forced into prostitution ! Some of them are kidnapped some of them are sold that’s the true reality of this city! Saying that china is the new America that’s such a joke, this chinese guy’s talking at the end doesn’t know other countries than china. They are most of them manipulated by the media

If it's so great then why the need for this mediocre pitch? Frankly I'm a little concerned for Lee because despite his intentions I think he's doing more harm than good for China. It's a bit of a laughing stock. China deserves a better plug from a charismatic personality not this knob. I'm concerned about him because he might easily be on the list of missing persons. Desist from this travesty please!!!!

Good information thanks. One question here. For someone who is married to Chinese and have a child (who is Chinese), make a difference in applying for permenant residence in China?
@KinLee919
@KinLee919 8 ай бұрын
Yes, But still quite hard, 1. should be married for at least 5 yrs. 2. Every yr should be living in china for at least 9 months, for 5 yrs straight. 3. Has a residence in china And a source of income. And also: pass the health check, And don't have any criminal record abroad.

Nice! I lived in DG for about 2 years, in DongCheng. I have good memories of this place. I used to live in Dyna. The park nearby was awesome.There was this BJJ club a few hundred meters down in older district, where I trained with great guys for a short time before i an injury meant the end of it. On week ends I would often go to Guangzhou or HK, so apart from Murrays and HBtoo once or twice I didn't get to know the night life.

Also, is it wrong to identify someone by their race or ethnicity? That is the first thing people notice when they see you. Your race and ethnicity should be a sense of pride, not a sense of shame or seen as something offensive to be identified by. A person’s race should be just a part of who you are and something to be proud of. Not something to be ignored. Different races DO exist.. and it’s a beautiful thing. The world is a rainbow of different cultures and races and should be celebrated for it.

Don’t go to another country and expect the people of that country to have the customs, habits, culture of your home country. Don’t judge. Your way is not always better or makes more sense. Just like how the gentleman who is half black and half white said. The N word spoken by anyone is extremely offensive yet they call each other that word. To me that doesn’t make sense. To me, a word that is so offensive to a certain race should be off limits to everyone. But they don’t take offence when they speak it amongst themselves so everyone should accept that if that is their culture. I guess intention is important. Seek to understand, not judge. No people in any country are perfect. There are problems, biases everywhere..the important thing is to approach things with understanding.

china government won’t arrest you if you criticize the government even insults the president, which is even most Chinese don’t know about that. Because Chinese people also “heard “ from rumors either friends or foreigners/western medias. Basically China government only care for the social stability, if you are going to organize a lot of people overthrew the government, especially under the”foreign power/money supported “ , you probably got trouble then , that’s the lesson since 1989 rioters were out of control, which was actually cia funded color revolution and China government didn’t know in that time . Since then , president Deng said : social stability is everything! If the social keeps unrest , China economic will never succeed. That’s the very beginning which cnn , bbc started talking the ideaology: China no freedom. Before 1989, western medias only talk China “ no democracy “. Imagine if Wall Street is occupied 59 days ? But it happened in Tiananmen Square , it was a century lies by the way , where had no masscue!

The issue is each city is different.. I'm married for over 10 years having a house but still under visa. I'm in Dalian, very disappointed to be honest. Why? According to here it's not easy to get this card. Think about it if ur having a child it's almost hard to live here, because in order to work u also need to go through a process to get z visa. I hope this PR get even easier in the near future. But I highly doubt it.

Luckily I visited and recorded the old town of Dongguan back in 2009 when it was largely intact. Last time I visited old Dongguan five years ago much of it had either disappeared or was at of severe risk of it happening. Be under no illusions, the Chinese Communist Party, despite their rhetoric, care little for the tangible history of China. They care only for power and control. It is only a matter of time when "Old Dongguan " is gone. I am fortunate to have visited and recorded this amazing place.
