@@76katster If you cannot resolve to become Orthodox, at least switch rites and become Eastern Catholic. The Latin rite is SO ill, so unbelievably sick. The best thing that could happen to Rome in the long run, short of becoming Orthodox again, would be for there to be so many Eastern bishops that an eastern pope will become inevitable.

Hi, the quotes applied here is a reminder that during this coranavirus especially at mass when we receive Our Lord, there are regulations on how we ought to receive Our Lord and using hand sanitizer takes away from the priest having Our Lord in his hands

Excellent video (as usual), Ray! I quietly emailed my parish recently regarding distribution of the Holy Eucharist on the hand. I have not taken of it, choosing instead to make a spiritual communion. Anyway, I just received a reply today in which I was told that “unfortunately, per our diocese, communion will continue to be given on the hand only and more than likely from now on.” I am beyond devastated. What should I do, travel 2 hours to Bishop Strickland’s diocese (Tyler, TX)?

The same is happening in my Province in Canada. I see families preferring to take Spiritual Communion over receiving in the hand. I personally have chosen to receive in the hand for now. I do recall the words of Jesus who did say about the Pharisees to 'do as they say for they hold the Chair of Moses; but not as they do'. For whatever reason God has allowed these 'who sit on the Chair of Peter' to say that we are to receive in the hand (what you loose on Earth will be loosed in Heaven....). If there is any sin or sacrilege in receiving this way it will be borne by those who made that decision; and not by those of us who were forced to follow it. Keep the Faith.

Hi I am a non-denominational Christian (for personal reasons), and I must say I am still confused by the Eucharist. I understand how the early Christians came to this belief. But I still dont understand how I can reconcile this with what my eyes see? I mean before and after the consecration, all I see is wine (or grape juice) and bread. Do they mean this is Christ created body? The body that wandered the earth? Or rather is it meant as His Holy Body? The Church maybe? I am still confused.

According to Saint Thomas Aquinas: "The presence of Christ’s true body and blood in this sacrament cannot be detected by the senses or by reason, but by faith alone, which rests upon Divine authority. Hence, on Luke 22:19 ("This is my body that shall be delivered up for you"), Cyril says, “Do not doubt whether this is true, but take rather the Savior’s words on trust, because being the Truth, he does not lie.”" Our Lord's Body and Blood become present under the appearance of bread and wine by the change if the entire substance of the bread and the wine into the entire substance of Christ's Body and Blood. So it is in substance the Body and Blood of Our Lord, but the apparence of the bread and wine remain.
