Thank you so much I have my Elizabethan exam tomorrow, and I’ve put off revision on this in favour of the other subjects (though medicine and Weimar went pretty well)!

Letter case is the distinction between letters in larger uppercase or capital (or more formally majuscule) and smaller lowercase (or more formally minuscule)) in the written representation of certain language . Are there any bicameral scripter here ? Nice video... and ... do not judge me for this intervention......

So... Elizabeth did listen to Cecil... She called down the previous monarchs' debased issues (even countermarking some so that the new values would be apparent). Initial coinages under Elizabeth were far less debased than Edward VI and Henry VIII issues, and the coins were initially smaller than historical standards. Several new incremental denominations were issued with the intent to cry down her own coins so that both the purity and sizes would be restored, but this never took place as the economy proved strong enough overall (in comparison top competitors). The term "Inflation" doesn't exactly fit when considering bimetallic economies, I would argue. Really what is going on is a self-levelling action which counteracts debasement and shrinkage with increased market prices for goods. On the other hand, its frequently global interactions (such as war) which are behind debasements and so on. One counterexample would be the change in proportional value of silver to gold brought on by the influx of metals from the New World.

Hey Kashra, basically although there was more money because of Elizabeth the wealthy kept it for themselves and the poor stayed poor. I hope that helps?

I am VORACIOUSLY CURIOUS about what became of all the peasantry / tenants of all the "Church Lands" after Henry dissolved them. I think most of us non-historian history lovers would love to know about this reorganization of economy and society of the peasantry / aka the 90%. Up until this time, half of England's wealth was allegedly derived from the sheepswool produced by the labor of theses tenant farmers. I know Henry was insane enough to shoot himself in his economic foot, and deprive his country of a huge financial "power source...." But 1. did he? 2. Why do so few publicly available accounts of post Tudor / Elizabethan peasant life exist? 3. Were most peasant (farmers) just re-employed by Henry's new noble landlords or land managers? 4. And who managed these new crown lands by and large? Old nobility? New allies? Mid- level managers directly hired by the crown? 5. Or did most of the farming just cease after the dissolution / absorption? Do these former "church lands" account for most of the crown lands being sold off by Elizabeth to pay off the crown's debts? I think a good accounting of this massive social upheaval is missing and would be of great interest to the general public..... Hey Nat Geo, BBC, we may have a new winning docu-drama in the making. Why not?
