Sarah, everything turned out so beautifully! Fall is my favorite season for decor! I love all the colors you used and you were so cohesive with the colors without going overboard. With the boldness of the pillows (Which are gorgeous!) toning down the florals to blend but not necessarily be the focal point was a great choice. I am starting to decorate. I purchased MANY of those Hobby Lobby hydrangea florals in all of the colors besides the ivory, and you are right....they are just about gone. I've only seen a couple left. I love the way they look and way better than the dried, which seem to make an utter mess. I've tried decorating with them too, when I can find them, but really could barely tolerate them. I'm not sure if hairspray works, but hey, these Hobby Lobby ones are so beautiful and can be used every year. Thanks for all your great inspiration!

Those tapestry pillows, though out of my price range, are absolutely stunning!!!!!!!!!! The colors are gorgeous! And my favorite is that rustic wood riser , cast iron fall leaf and the sweet little brass candlesticks! Just perfect. I also have a pitcher of rust and burnt umber hydrangeas. The entire space has such a soft nod to fall. Love it!

I’m so happy for you, Sarah, about getting your fireplace area done, and new flooring. The fireplace and built ins will be so much fun to style for the Fall/ Christmas/ Winter months ahead. You save so much money doing it yourselves. Can’t wait to see what you do. Now you have to buy more decor. Lol. But that’s the fun part, right? I’m getting new windows Sept. 5th, and I’m excited about that. Mine are 35 years old, and I have to get rid of those dated diamond grids in my Living Room picture window. Going with squares. After that, I will decorate for Fall. 🍂

I’m really hoping it’s all complete before I start to decorate for Christmas 🎄 We are still laying the flooring upstairs because we need to empty the pallet of flooring in the garage to make room for a pallet of stone 😅 if it’s not one thing it’s another! Fall! My favorite. It’s all very lovely. I think it’s too much floral pillows on the couches. Maybe a solid, plaid or windowpane pattern mixed in? It’s a bit too busy.

Thank you! I think I will look to find a subtle pattern to add into the mix, I love the all floral but I think it helps that the space around it isn’t as busy. As we add more things in (finishing built ins and fireplace) I definitely think it would be nice to be a little calmer 😊

Decorate when you are ready, that's the perfect timing! I'm glad you were able to grab what you wanted ahead of time! I always feel bad when September rolls around and people are getting ready to but can't find what they were looking for. Shopping early makes all the difference especially this time of year!

Another well done inspirational video. I notice you use the same pattern pillows in different sizes on opposite sides of the sofa, I really like this look and will be adding this design on my sofa. I am using 20x20 right now for my basic size what is the other rectangle size you recommend? Also, I have picked up 5 of the green foliage from Hobby Lobby and it is a great stem, I added 3 of the stem pussy willow and one stem with these rust color seed heads with little wispy leaves and a curly cue accent. Wish I had the item # for you, unfortunately my daughter took the label off, they would look fantastic in your decor. I grabbed one of those paper mâché apples right away, and I love it. thank you for your inspiration.

If you’re using a 20x20 for one I recommend 24x24 for the other, or a very full 22x22. The ones on our couches right now are 18x18 and 22x22 but the inserts are 2” bigger than the cover so the 18” pillow has a 20” insert. Hope that’s helpful! I love those apples! So so pretty!

Love everything you do Sarah on your decorating. Can’t wait for each video. The only one thing you did in this video that I can’t come to terms with, is when you mixed the 2 throws pillows together on your couch. They just don’t go together as the 2 patterns fight each other. I’m a retired designer and I’d hire you in a minute, but the 2 pillows are a no no. Hope I don’t hurt your feelings, just a suggestion. You also know, you can do whatever you like, as it’s your home. Take care!

I think for me I'm okay with it because everything around it is calm and simplistic but as soon as we add in the fireplace stone and built ins it'll be more busy and definitely need more "breath" room if that makes sense.
