The history of hot rods and the car culture needs to be documented. For every old timer that passes without sharing or passing on his knowledge is knowledge that is lost forever. Documenting the history will help keep our hobby more relevant for future generations to be caught up in the trap

The blue Volkswagen with the roll cage, in the photo you showed, looked pretty awesome. My favourite Iron Trap car was the 39 forgotten Hot Rod. It was the first build I watched on this channel and I was amazed to see a car that had been abandoned so long brought back to life.

Mind Blown. I was always a VW guy back in the day (still am I guess). I've followed Iron Trap almost since day 1. I never realized that this was Matt with the Swallowtail. I followed that build back in the VWVortex days while working on my Yellow '76 Rabbit. I've always been interested in old Fords (first car was a '63 Fairlane). Now I've been jonesing for a Model A with a flathead. Guess this really is the normal progression.

Stellar show. My "Iron Trap" is collecting Hot Wheels. This lets me own every car I could never afford and I don't need as much garage space. Once I started making some money in my hobby, my wife was in full agreement. Keep it up

Sometime I will tell you about my friend who started a antique car and truck wrecking yard in 1953 at 11 years old and still runs it 69 years later at 80 years old. He bought two 1940 Dodge trucks in the 1950's and still drives them daily. He still buys antique cars and trucks and will take newer cars and trucks if they are free or very cheap. His business is a living muesum.

Must be cold up in PA today. 😆 My iron trap = music. Been collecting records and (open reel) tapes for decades. And to play records and tape you need old vintage electronic gear. And if you think vintage cars are hard to keep maintained....

I got into collecting old money after I found a 1877 Seated Liberty Dime on my great grandfather's homestead here in Kansas ! I was around 8 or 9 years ago ! Then when I got my driver's license my first car was a 1962 American Motors Rambler 4 door , 6 cylinder , 3 on the tree !

Great video i been saying for awhile you should do some mini showcases on local hotrods when you travel. 3-4 min videos with a backstory what the drivetrain is and maybe some rolling shots of it driving. Videos that dont take alot of money to make but can make revenue and be uploaded sporatically as "filler content"

I've watched this show since the "free T" I love Matt's talent for welding and fabricating. What brings me back every week is your respect for traditional hot rodding. And all the cool crap you find. I've wanted to say this for a long time but never wanted to be negative. Mike is always trying to steal the show. This episode he interrupted Matt over 50 times that's at least once every minute. But complaining without a solution is just bitching. So my suggestion is stick with building cars and hotrodding 101 looking over your channels those are the episodes with the most views. I hope I'm not coming off disrespectful, I wish Iron trap all the success in the world look forward to seeing what's next with the cars every week. Oh and definitely try to get moon on camera more.

Always loved your videos and this new adventure is awesome too. I'll do an episode from here in Australia if its possible if you guys are interested at some stage. I've got some video on my channel of what's in my shed. I've got one of those exact switch moments that took me from the rare Japanese based stuff (which I still have and love) to following my 40 year dream of having a hotrod too so that might be interesting to people as well.

The fingers drumming on the table is the cause of this noise. Habits are hard to break, isolating the microphone is the easy answer. Maybe some Dynamat or Eastwood equivalent in the underside of the table to dampen the boom.
