Thank you for the very informative video! I became the second inheritor of a vintage Joe and this was a great resource. I might have had a GI JOE in the 90s but I really didn't know much about them, especially the original and vintage stuff.

Great video. Please make one on why Cotswold moved to Texas. And talk about the future for the elite brigade.👍😉👍

I'm sure it wouldn't take up an entire episode, but I'd love to see something about how to identify 40th Anniversary/Timeless pieces from vintage. I know most are clearly marked, but I think some aren't?

Loved the video. I grew up into 80's Joes, but even back then I wanted some 12" stuff that I had heard about. I would like to collect more 12" stuff, and it's very cool to get some detailed history on some of this stuff. Thanks for the video, and would love to see more! :)

Another great video! Only have a couple early items myself, an "no country of origin" Scramble Pilot jumpsuit and a round lug M1 helmet. Always fun ones to find.

Talking about knockoffs at the end. I have left handed holster that I think is a knockoff, but it's identical to the Hasbro. Sometimes I'll display a Joe with both. Just found the channel, doing a bit of a marathon and enjoying it. Thank you for efforts Gregg.

I have several Joe "knockoff" accessories but as a Kid I had some knockoffs too. They were a whole lot cheaper than authentic Joe items back then. I feel they have a place in my collection.

The reason the Joe faces changed from heavy eyeliner to more normal eye paint is simple. The original Joe faces were painted by hand in Hong Kong. The later faces made in U.S.A. Pawtucket, RI were spray painted using a mask/stencil so that all of the faces would look the same.

Interesting stuff. I have a lot of vintage accessories, but I never paid much attention to which ones were early issue or not. From your examples here, I don't think I have any of those early issues. Regarding knockoffs mentioned at the end, I know I have some of those. Even as a kid I had some because they were a whole lot cheaper than authentic Hasbro, and I didn't have much money as a kid. . But some of the knockoff accessories were pretty cool, as there were some that Hasbro never made.

I have a question on a early Joe. I have one with the rubber diving suit, but it is so brittle anytime I go to remove any portion it starts to crack. Is there something I could do to revitalize the rubber enough to get it off or should I just leave it alone.

I have heard that the so called pin head Joes were early production because they didn't know back then how the head plastic was going shrink around the neck stalk, which caused the pin head effect. You guys didn't touch on that at all. Do you have a response?

Really like the content and knowledge of the speaker, but I wish there were better and longer close ups of the items he was explaining about to see the differences and details. Other than that, I really enjoy your videos and have been a customer since 1990.

The coarse material on canteen covers and other accessories was NOT necessarily first issue. Thje Coarse weave material was simply made in Hong Kong. The finer weave materials were made in Japan. I have proven this with sealed packages.
