Those bouquets would absolutely fill my heart to bursting and I would probably cry for a whole hour with delight and awe! So lovely. I keep thinking about Erin as well. Only true Floret followers who actually grow flowers and understand the work and the reality of breeding any kind of flower would have the grace and understanding. The only people complaining are those who clicked "buy" because they were caught up in a frenzy of "influencer" garbage that happens over and over again on the internet. Truly the saddest thing. But I am absolutely delighted by my Floret flowers and seeing yours as well just fills my heart!

Thanks for reminding me, I had tons of zinnia blooms to dead head, I use them for seed next year. I do not sell anything but the church ladies like to do bouquets for the church/pulpit/etc. I get a kick out of seeing folks in my garden harvesting flowers or picking greens in the fall, tons of that too coming on now.

Kim, you have such a gift for this, growing flowers and making videos. This is awesome. I have a small veggie and flower garden in my back yard. I grow weeds as well, :) one day when I was weeding my older two jokingly suggested that maybe I should plant weeds and maybe flowers would pop up, lol. I know all about that humidity, I have curly red hair and the humidity makes it very big, lol.

@noelaniross3053 ай бұрын
I’m not saying this to judge, I genuinely want you to sell at a price point your product deserves to earn. Your bouquets are FULL of high value flowers, for example you have at least 7-9 sunflowers in one $10.00 bouquet- by doing this you are drastically underselling yourself, your work, your time, your effort and definitely hurting your profits and future growth in your business. In a $10.00 bouquet you should only have 4-5 sunflowers or other high value flowers and the rest be pure filler. This makes a 40% to 60% ratio of high value flowers vs filler flowers/greenery, you could even do a 50% to 50% ratio if you really wanted to be generous. Right now you are actually underselling your work and losing profit on every purchase by having a 80%+ high value flower ratio in such a cheaply priced bouquet. The worst part will be your customers EXPECTING this amount of high value flowers from you permanently at this price point and when you realize you need to charge more money or simply put less high value flowers in it for the same price point, they will be upset and think you are cheating them and most likely stop buying from you out of spite or anger. In reality, they were getting a steal of a deal the whole time and you were the one losing out. You have to keep in mind that when you sell a bouquet you need to pay yourself for the hours it took to grow, water, take care of, collect, and make the bouquet. Not just make them pay for the end product of the bouquet itself. If you had to hire an employee to do all these tasks on this current profit system, you would go out of business. You noted you are in an area where people won’t pay more money for something, that’s fine. You can sell a bouquet at $10.00 if no one is willing to lets say buy a $20.00 or $40.00 bouquet- just make sure what’s in it is actually $10.00 worth of product, not $20.00 plus as you are right now. I’ve noticed we women especially undervalue and undercharge for our goods and products, thinking it’s all we deserve and that no one would ever cough up the money the product is actually worth. Please do not operate on this mentality. If you want this career to last you the next 30-50 years, you MUST charge a price that actually brings in profit and PAYS YOU a salary too! If you are working for free you are not profitable, your time is worth money, even as the business owner. Please charge more money for your bouquets that are this full, stunning and decadent- they are a far cry from 10 measly dollars. I’m subscribing and hoping in future videos I see you charge your worth! 💗💜❤

I think with florets it also depends on where you’re growing. She grows them in hoop houses in the Pacific Northwest where most days it is cloudy and I assume that’s why she has so many doubles. I started my seeds in February. I’m in zone B Southern California she just released a video saying if you leave the flowers to mature, they will turn into doubles. That’s not the case if you’re in a hot and high uv growing zone. I have had them blooming since April not a single double and I too bought the collection. I understand how they’re grown as I am a fifth year flower farmer, not being negative just honest on how it is growing them in a different zone. My benarys are excellent and doubled so it’s odd that not one of the florets blooms were a double.
@aongv3 ай бұрын
That’s good info. I’m in MI. Some are doubling up right now. That does suck for those in hot hot climates. I’ll have to try some benary giants.
