@@Jolid63 in fairness there’s a lot of cannibalization in the survival gaming space in terms of gameplay, though yes it’s visually very similar to other games.

Hey Fox, just want to say I't's really good having you onboard playing "Starnautica" [ahem] umm, I mean Astrometica... This game is so bonkers fun! One thing I noticed in my playthrough so far is "Scan every object you come across [r-click] because sometimes there's objects that are scannable, but the little icon doesn't pop up at the bottom right away. or maybe we have to be in a certain position to get the pop-up... so I hit it with all static items I see and oh boy have I've gotten a crap ton of cool stuff to build later on! By the way, the tool upgrade bench is worth the materials to build. upgrade you mining tool, scanner, and laser with op upgrades you can actually "slot" into the tools! I have the T2 upgrade for mining power and speed now and it literally takes 1 second to harvest iron and ice asteroids, and 3 seconds for the copper. Silver takes about 6 seconds. As for the bigger mining rig that fits on base, Don't know if they can be fitted with those upgrades since I haven't built one yet . However, if they can... it'll be so worth it! @.@ also...out there behind your base, past the broken glass balls where you found that base built in the asteroid? There's a strange long black object in front of the door and another just like it up above and behind where you opened those crates near the end of the stream. Go scan them! It gives you the ability to create "Portable Pop & Drop Shield bubbles with oxygen" in them [Remote Oxygen Stations] and they're super cheap to build! Alright.. see you next week for the next Installment of this!

Little does he know that you, @FloppySword, @SergeantKelvin, and a few others have indeed survived his psycho ride through the blockades! Job well done! Surely there’s a bounty for whomever is responsible for this tragic disaster! Be aware that he has space burgers and he ain’t afraid to chuck them at you with extreme prejudice! Lolololol!😂*

@@will345davis it’s fun so far, but yes very much borrows from other games :)
@will345davis16 күн бұрын
@ if we’re being honest, unless you’re developing a whole new genre, like Cawthon with FNAF or Fromsoft with Demon Souls, any game borrows from games in the same genre. That’s what makes it a genre. It’s all how those borrowed things are used that matters. Without Harvest Moon there’d be no Stardew Valley, but Stardew used all the mechanics perfectly so he wound up with a masterpiece and not a subpar clone.

Watching it here on youtube the decoder seems to be doing a great job. If you get the chance what decoder you using? I use to stream and lost my account about a year ago to Twitch. I have no urge to stream atm but down the road I might try to get a KZbin going. I have to do something when I retire. If I were ever to stream again its for the social because of my isolated life.

Game companies just copy paste anything remotely popular. There are about 100 knockoff versions of any given good ip. Even bad games like the entire idle section same game little to no actual difference. Hell look at ark they content flipped themselves with atlas.

I saw the thumbnail and thought it was Breathedge. Why are devs always making clones of games we've already played? Does no one in game development have any creativity anymore? Oh right.. it's because they're gaming corporations now, not developers. If a formula works once, they oversaturate the market with more of the same. Sad.
