Thank you, Carol. You help so many people like me who would have never known about these roads or how to find our families. I appreciate you so much for sharing and i enjoy all your presentations, even though i often miss them live. Take care.

Carol, you have a gift for research sharing. We are blessed by your Podcasts, KZbin, files, opinions and more. Please don't pay any mind to haters and grumpy people. 😊

I find your presentations fascinating. You may not. Insider yourself a teacher, yet I learn something with each presentation. Keep up the great work!

I am discouraged that you are receiving such comments. Your gift of sharing what you learn is so helpful, and the resources you share allow each of us to make our own discoveries. Your approach of sharing what may be different from currently accepted information so we can evaluate changes is important. History evolves as we uncover new information. That you do these programs using your own resources is a gift to us. The research and KZbin areexpensive! I am grateful for what you do.

Carol, as an 'old school' researcher myself, I spent every spare minute in genealogical libraries across the south, making photocopies of everything I could find, for more than 30 years. (No computers for this old lady) I have to admire your work very much! The fact that you are so generous with your time and research makes you a very generous lady, and you should never let rude or inconsiderate people upset you. Bless you for all you do.

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your research. It's helped me understand how to go about researching my family history. Unfortunately I've only been able to find back to the civil war, then everything disappears. I live in Rogersville,TN just north of Johnson City. I really enjoy watching & listening when I'm able too. Thanks again for sharing.

Stay with it James. Breakthroughs happen all the time. Consider YDNA Surname Project for your Surname. Has been quite fruitful for me. 🤔😃👍

I stumbled upon your channel the other while looking for any information on indentured servants. The information on your channel and web page is amazing. I believe that in order to research genealogy, you have to research history as well. If you know your history, then you'll have an idea of where to look. I have been researching for almost 25 yrs. I have found records and information that others have not because of researching history. The work you have done and still do is not easy. It takes a whole lot of time. I thank you for your and your family's hard work.

Pay no attention to the people who act big at the other end of a screen! I am really enjoying these videos, and I have learned a wealth of information to hopefully help me in my own search. (Still trying to find where/who my John Smith came from! 😂)

I appreciate what you do so much! You are a wealth of information and tips to help people like me. It's fascinating. I would not have any way of doing this research myself. You have been very kind to share what you have learned over the years. Yes, I am looking forward to what you've learned about he Great Wagon Road and other roads and trails. I am so sorry that you have received rude emails. I won't say what I think of people who do that. As for being an expert, Carol, I don't know what word to use, but compared to me, you are an expert. But you are certainly a giver. Thank you so much! I appreciate all you've done to share what you've learned and what you are learning. I always seem to miss the livestreams - but, I hope to do better.

Pay no attention to the naysayers. My folks were from Halifax and Warren counties. Your research is a great help.

Thank you for sharing your research. Looking for insight to finding court records related to road maintenance required of land owners. I found some listed for Kentucky 1800-1820. Have you discovered this type of records for N.C. at this time or earlier?

Hi Charles, Early colonial court road orders would offer you the best information in my opinion.
