So many great memories from when our girl was younger. She is growing up too fast. We found some video clips from that were used for her Autism diagnosis. Braylee is still the same awesome girl before and after the day she was diagnosed.

It is amazing to see all these children being diagnosed early with Autism. It took 21 years for me to be diagnosed. I guess in the 90's (when I grew up) they didn't know much about Autism

They are definitely able to diagnose much earlier than in the past and it’s very beneficial to the young kids with autism.

@@TheWeeFamily yes. I'm wondering if maybe in 2003 they misdiagnosed me with Attention Deficit Disorder, I was 13. 8 years later I was diagnosed with Autism, not as severe as Braylee or even Abbie (Fathering Autism), or Noah (Our Landing Crew), or Liam (Growing up Gantt(I think that's how it's spelled)). I asked my mom (grandma who raised me) if there were any milestones I didn't hit when I should have and she doesn't remember now, as I was a baby 28 (almost 29) years ago

It’s very possible that it was misdiagnosed. But on the plus side, you are diagnosed now and can better understand with that information

@@TheWeeFamily yes. Information from your videos and the other autism families videos help me better understand why I used to do things the way I did. Like Our Landing Crew posting a video called "autism and hygiene." It's an over stimulating situation

Beautiful video, wee fam! I don’t think you realize how impactful it is that people like you are showing the world a glimpse into your lives. As I said previously, my grandson is going to be assessed soon. What was a terrifying prospect for all of us a few months ago is now much less daunting. And it’s due to the autism families on KZbin, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️

What a beautiful little girl. 💜She reminds me so much of my daughter. My little one is almost 17 months and will be assessed by the doctor soon. After her first meeting with early intervention the team told us that they are leaning toward thinking she does not have autism, but she reminds me so much of Braylee and how she plays (and not always responding to her name). Regardless of what happens my Tyranda is the best thing that ever happened to me and I love her more than I thought anyone could love anything. My best to you and your wonderful family.

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible daughter with us all, I can not express just how much she has helped me this past year, my motto is if Braylee can do everything she does then I can certainly leave the house for a few hours, I bet you never thought when Braylee was little that she would have SO much impact on people's lives around the world and she truly has, can you imagine how much impact she will have on people in another 10 year's, she's truly a amazing girl who's smile can brighten up everyone's day, you are truly blessed

It makes me so happy that Braylee was able to get diagnosed so early. Autism services have come a long way. I remember when my best friend at the time was diagnosed (we were somewhere between 4-7) and my mom sat me down and had a talk about how this isn’t something you can tease someone about and that it’s why he did certain things differently. I remember hearing my mom and his mom talking about how they wonder if it was vaccines that had caused it (this wasn’t long after that hoax came out)

When I went to kindergarten in Austria in the 80s, there was a little girl, Marlene, that would come to join us for short periods of time, always accompanied by her Mum or Dad. I remember being told that the reason why she had difficulty talking or would have frequent meltdowns was that "She doesn't know the difference between herself and the world". It may not be an accurate description but I thought about it for years and it really shaped my understanding of how everyone's perception is different.

5:45 - Staicy “ you want more blocks? “ Braylee be like: **I’m fine I just tear them apart and build them up again** 😂❤ I loved that part. Also I’m impressed with how good she builds with the blocks, like she know hot it works and her mom needed to help a few times. But like my nieces at that age just keep putting them in there mouth or throw it away.😂❤ but I know every kid is different some how. I’m also autistic btw and I’m now a young adult. I love watching your videos, old as new, I’m learning a lot of the autism spectrum and I see a few similarities between me and braylee with stimming and stuff so your videos actually help me a bit to like realise and understand my own autism. Also I love how wonderful parents you are to her and make every second of her life the best you can give her, truly amazing loving parents!!❤❤❤ braylee is lucky to have you as parents❤❤❤

I'm loving the baby) toddler Brayle videos/pics. My daughter did all the same things but not til she was a little older. We didn't notice anything different til she was about 2/2.5 n her pediatrician kept saying everything was fine. Then finally when she was 3 he said take her to Infants n Toddlers for her language delay n they left me to Child Find which led me to Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore where she was diagnosed 2 months before turning 4 after a year in the waiting list. She had already started preschool at 3 n began OT n speech in school before she was officially diagnosed with autism because before that they diagnosed her as developmentally delayed. Her's is considered moderate but her n B are alot alike.

As I was watching that video you said was used in her original evaluation at almost 2. I don’t see any issues.. she just seems like a quiet smart little girl whose attentive and playing with her blocks! It Confuses me because each video I watch of kids who are showing signs and stims... just seems like normal toddlers to me! Some are shy, some are outgoing.. like there’s such a difference between each and every toddler and different personalities... how do you determine what’s what?

I am not an expert, what I can see is in that video she didnt look to her mum. She plays by herself all the time, even with the mum clapping, saying "well done", talking to her, she ignored her mum and played alone. Normally a tipical todler will look to the mother and share what they are playing/doing/learning

Because I'm watching this video and I do not see any autism traits she just looks like a cute normal baby. I'm confused as to what are the traits. Trying to understand and not being disrespectful, coming from sincerity. I'm a female mid-50s watched a video on female autism traits, and it seems like I have several.

I was just wondering cause she seemed like she was trying to talk. Love the video btw...I always ask austim parents when was the first time they started to notice something different and if they had any developmental delays early on. My brother has autism on the higher end of the spectrum and my baby boys half sister has austim as well. She can speak but has a lot of violent stims and pinches herself if she gets upset in anyway. She will say things to strangers without a care in the world if it might be rude and doesn't understand that she shouldn't talk to strangers. She has no fear at all, climbs anything and everything...walks right up to animals. I'm preparing myself in case my boy is on the spectrum and researching things to look out for and ways to help him cope if he does end up on the spectrum. :)

You have benefit of having the exposure and experience at least to be on lookout for it which is good. We didn’t really have any knowledge of autism before Braylee. Looking back saw signs at in fairly early infancy like multiple things 5-6 months. We were sure something was up and I was pretty sure it was autism around 11-13 months and she started in home therapy by 15 months. Some of our earliest identifiers were that she only played with things in pairs, she wouldn’t play functionally with toys, just dump them and put them back repeatedly or just bang them together, she had must stronger OCD tendencies when she was younger (before diagnosis at least), never tried to get help or show us something she found interesting (joint attention), didn’t smile in response to being smiled at, didn’t respond to her name (still doesn’t really), just lots of small things added up. For us, Braylee had so many clear signs that there wasn’t really a question.

AUTISM IS A SUPERPOWER WHEN YOU CAN UNDERSTAND IT. THE CONSCIOUSNESS LAYS ITS FOCUS ON THE EMOTIONAL SIDE AND THAT IS BEING FULLY FELT. AND A PERSON WHO FEELS FULLY IS VERY MUCH IN ITS EMOTIONAL INNER FIELD. IT IS LIKE DOING MATHS AND YOU ARE SO ENERGETICALLY INTO IT THAT YOU CANNOT FOCUS ON OUTER INFLUENCES. MAYBE JUST THE ONE THAT YOU PUT YOUR ATTENTION ON. IS LIKE MEDITATING EMOTIONALLY ONTO A FIELD. LETS SAY YOU REED A RECIPE AND YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND, YOU ALSO DON'T LIKE YOUR KIDS TO DISTRACT YOU. YOU ARE REEDING AND THAT TAKES YOUR FULL ATTENTION. AND PEOPLE WITH AUTISM JUST PUT FULL ATTENTION ONTO WHAT THEY LAY THE FOCUS ON. ALSO A BIT LIKE WATCHING AN INTERESTING MOVIE....LIKE ALL PEOPLE WATCH YOUR KZbin FEED AND THEN YOU ARE FULLY INTO IT. IN A SENSE YOU DO NOT EVEN EXIST CAUSE YOU ARE "SUCKED" INTO THE MATTER. YOU FULLY WANT TO FEEL IT AND SEE IT TO UNDERSTAND IT. THAT IS THE SAME. IN A SENSE ALL ARE AUTISTIC WHEN THEY WATCH INTERESTING TV.
