Thx. I can compare it via text in a few words. If u wanna throw the lightest, it's gonna be the DWU. The Zephyr is better looking, but that can't throw below 2 grams out of the box well. Even with bearings upgraded, the distance is short and tough to do 1/16th and below. The DWU does 1/16th easily out of the box.

Hi Jimmy great vid mate, I know you've been busy,I sent you an email regarding a certain CDM reel,I have received one and am currently testing it out ,so far I'm very impressed as it has a copy of Daiwas braking system with the magnetic rings and cup in the spool.Now someone has done it am expecting more to follow. @@rawrfishing No worries,I'll get it up for you shortly.The reel itself isn't too bad, lovely to cast once you get it dialled in correctly,I've casted 2 grams alright with it so far 3 grams a breeze.The braking system is a rip off of SV boost , magnetic rings and a spring loaded cup.My reel has one quality issue,where there is a bit of a creak in the frame, the tolerances aren't spot on ,don't notice it at all when fishing but it is CDM and Id be surprised if any CDM is JDM spec ,it is what it is. Cheers.

@@rawrfishing Nice, another prob I have come across this far is the age old CDM thing of the line going behind the spool.Not every time but yeah it does happen. Once you have it set right it behaves fine.All the best 😎

Nice vid! As you know those eastern shore ponds can hold some mondos, how worried do i have to be about the spool deforming if going bfs with braid or braid to leader?

Thx man! Braid usually don't damage a spool as much as line that can stretch. If you ever seen the videos of people putting rubberbands on a watermelon until it explodes, that's what mono would Do. Of course braid can warp spools too if the drag is set too strong. Key is.. Whatever line you use, have less drag and never pull line out using the spool when snagged. Always use the rod tip to shake to see if it dislodge, or wrap the line to an object and pull using the object rather than the spool!

It's all about the spool if you want the most UL reel for your UL rod. So consider having a light spool than the KK Valiant Eagle. there's plenty of options. If you are on a budget, this is the reel you should get. I have plenty of videos on my channel as i focused the last 3 or 4 years exploring from budget to semi expensive JDM Bfs reels. have not gone to the highest end yet.

Stock, I was throwing that 1/32nd oz Jig plus 1 inch swimbait. I think that's around 1.4 grams total? Adding micro bearings will help bring it down a bit more
