I used to fly fish the Weber River stretch around Taggart. Big browns in there. I like to go fly fishing anywhere in Utah especially the Seiver River and Fremont. My best fish out of the Weber River was just over 4 lb. I'm sure you are aware there huge browns in the Weber River and rivers I mentioned above. I'll be a following along with you now.

The biggest Brown I've caught in Utah is from the Weber as well.

Good video Bob. I moved to Oregon and miss all the fly fishing in Utah. 'Course I have other fish to go after here, salmon, steelhead, walleye, sturgeon, rock bass, lingcod, halibut, perch, razor clams, butter clams, dungeoness crab, sea run cutthroat. How's your baby? Hope all is well, Ed

nice video bob! is there any rod you would recommend for euro nymphing? like brand, weight, length, etc.
@TroutFlies4 ай бұрын
It depends on your budget, but the Diamondback Ideal Nymph in the 10' 2wt is hard to beat for performance/value. It's more like a 3wt in power. I'm running two of them as my main competition nymphing rods.

More fun times!! They always fight harder when you hook them in the tail. I hooked in to an 8" chub the other day and i thought i had the biggest fish in the creek. It was still fun. What kind of reel do you have on? Thanks for sharing!
@TroutFlies2 ай бұрын
On my nymphing rods I have an Orvis Hydros Euro.

@@TroutFlies Thanks for the reply!! That's a nice looking reel. Do you have a dedicated reel for each rod, or do you switch the reel from rod to rod? Thanks again.

Are you using the pro bands on your tippet spools? Do you like them though about picking up a set?
@TroutFlies4 ай бұрын
I'm not. The colorful ones are standard on the trouthunter tippet spools.

Weber, I have the most success on this river with walts worms. As always good times on the river for sure! How you liking your Border Net Clip?
@TroutFlies4 ай бұрын
I'm mixed on the Broder, It's nice to secure something in place, but it's a liability in swift water above your knees if it's sitting on your belt. I'm currently playing around with a multiple attachment point system for different wading conditions.
@andrewexon33584 ай бұрын
@@TroutFlies -- You are having a similar experience that I'm having. If I'm wading in deep enough water (water is rushing through my net) it actually will pop out, and the sticky material ended up coming off. I had to glue the piece to my net. But it popping out is still occurring.
