I completely agree. I'm 69 years old and have always loved flowers. When I'm outside planting and caring for my flowers there is such a comfort. Then when you see the fruits of your labor its BEAUTIFUL. I lobe your instilling that love into your daughter. My daughters love flowers too. So rewarding. Love from Missouri

I live on 80 acres in WI. I have 9 flower gardens. The nurseries have just opened. I have planted nothing so far, We have a very short growing season. I spend a fortune on flowers/plants so this yr. I am growing plants from seeds. I have never done this before, but, so far they are growing something! It has been raining for 2 wks. I have a lot of antique farm items I use to decorate w/and use for planters. I have not gotten them all out yet due to the rain & cold weather. Nice job on your porches.

I have 15 flower beds with perennials, and 3 flower beds are butterfly,hummingbird perennials.1 flower beds are filled with nothing but all perennial wild flowers....I plant perennial seeds and have so much luck.i only use annuals in pots as I don't want them in my flower beds because they don't last long and I prefer pots for them only..As my perennials go by I dead head the flowers and dry them and use their seeds in my gardens ❤

@@debbiegordon7622 Thks for the tips, yes I only use annuals in pots, too. But a surprise last yr. I had volunteer pansies, also this yr I've seen 5 of them, also volunteer portulucas. They were everywhere, and I love them LOL! I could never handle 18 flower beds, especially now. Last May 14 I injured my knee, and had surgery in Nov. So painful the whole time, believe it ,or, not 8wks. ago I injured my other knee. I can't make any sense of it. It's a torn meniscus, Baler's cyst, so will need surgery again. I'm at wit's end. It hurts more than the other knee. I haven't cooked for 3 wks. I can put no weight on it.

@@estelleadamski308 oh no I pray for healing and speedy recovery..It's funny you mentioned the pansies I found some in one of my flower beds and I never planted it and a long with other lowering plants I discovered I never planted..My sister keeps telling me it's the birds....So we'll see what the mystery flowers are when they bloom..My mom said watch them be a weed i said if they are I'll be pulling them out..LoL .Happy Mother's Day if your a Mom 🪻🌷🌺🥀💐🌹❤️

In utah and LOVE sping and summer and look forward to flowers, i have many that come back every year but like to plant some annuals too. We raise one of our grandsons, and he and i love being outside. This year msking him a spot in apart of bed so he can enjoy his car play making ramp and tunnels he excited as am i to see outcome , i included him on set up fun creating together he is soon to be 7 . TfS area turned out nice xoxo

I live in VA too! I’m celebrating 10 years in my home in June so I invested in hanging planters, shepherds crooks and flowers to fill my 3 window boxes, dirt and I’m getting mulch from the landfill. I’m also going to try cardboard as weed block. I potted pink coleus, dusty miller, pink begonias, white sweet alyssum, vinca vine, hot and lite pink star flowers, Window boxes: pink geraniums, white mini trailing petunias, pink begonias. Porch hanging baskets: large pink, white and lavender wave petunias. I also previously bought a hanging fuchsia plant, some small hot pink azaleas bushes and a lavender rhododendron and I moved a giant hosta around! I can’t wait for everything to fill in.

Dollar Tree is a good option for flower pots. All you need is some spray paint and creativity and you’re good to go.

Flowers are expensive also! I’m definitely going to take care of all my planters so I can use them for future years. They do bring me so much joy🌸🌺🌼🪻
