DECORATE WITH ME | Summer Front Porch 🌸

Welcome!
In today's video I’m decorating my front porch for summer! What I really wanted was to simplify the porch and really focus on a clean, clutter-free look where the flowers and potted shrubs could shine. 🌸
In terms of container planting and the go-to “thriller, filler, spiller” formula, I chose a cone Green Mountain Boxwood as my centerpiece (or thriller) then surrounded it with @provenwinners Supertunia Rose and Vista Fuschia for a filler/spiller. I rounded it out with bright yellow Bidens, a sun-loving coleus, and the oh so trusty ‪@ProvenWinnersKZbin‬ Lemon Coral Sedum. 💐
Okay, and can we talk about the giant hanging basket my sister-in-law got me?! I found the tags and no wonder it’s so huge! Thanks to ‪@ProvenWinnersKZbin‬ and their Supertunia Vista Bubblegum, Silverberry, and Fuschia (yes, Fuschia…the same as the other three I’d picked out already) we have a lovely, abundant arrangement that perfectly matches the others. 🌺
Just a quick note…when potting up shrubs or trees, it’s a good idea to go several zones below your own to ensure they can make it through the cold. Being in a pot makes them more susceptible to freezing. Also, don’t forget to water throughout the winter. 💦
I love decorating my porch through the seasons! It doesn’t take too much, just a little effort and creativity and I have a nice, welcoming scene to welcome me home each day. ✨

I actually got really gorgeous tall planters at Walmart for $24.99 each. My goodness, watching you paint the door... how tall are you? Of course , I noticed , as I am all of 5 feet nothing! So I would definitely need my step stool . My daughter in law is 5'10". Your painting technique of that door mat had me laughing. Boxwoods in that topiary form are perfect anchors, that you don't have to keep replacing every year. You can just add seasonal color around the rim with little 6 pks.and 4 inch plants. It makes it so easy to transition the seasons for very little investment. Plus you can keep them trimmed to the size you want. I have had mine for 10 years in pots with no issues. And yes, watering is key to their longevity. The pots looks amazing! Love the simple wreath on the door, and the door mat refresh looks great.

Beautiful containers! I never thought about the boxwood with annuals idea, but I love it! I was curious if the big petunia pot would sit on top of the green milk can! Might open up the porch space a bit. So pretty!

Thanks! I’ve used bright wreaths and because the sun is so intense from that direction, they tend to fade drastically very quickly.
