As always, lovely! You may not recall, but I have been waiting for a GSP to be born, and she was born almost two weeks ago. . My dilemma is that a Aussie Shepherd puppy landed in my lap and I’m now second guessing bringing the GSP puppy into the mix. Ultimately I think I know I’ll take on the GSP as well. Any advice on mixing the working breed and hunter/working breed? The good part is their both puppy’s and Luna, the Aussie is now 11 weeks, potty trained, and has learned basic obedience.

Oh Gosh Stephan. I would not have two puppies at the same time. They are very likely, much of the time, to defer to each other and not to you, which will make training them difficult. Not what you want to hear I am sure, but realistically I do believe that you will compromise the standard that they get to unless you have a huge amount of time to work them and keep them separately while they are young. Good luck whatever you decide !

@@AyteeGSPs I’ve been mulling this over for weeks. I’ve decided I’m going for the challenge! I’m a full time traveler in the states, which adds complexity to the effort. I’m going to work hard with them separately, I do have time as I took an early retirement at age 45 last year due to COVID. Thank you for your input!
