I am very happy to see you took our advice and bought bare rooted David Austin roses. These are my absolute favourite and I need to learn more about growing them in Zone 3. It is going to be -34C tonight and believe me, nothing will survive this cold except for perennials that are hardy for this climate. No planting baby plants in soil right now, everything is rock solid frozen! I bought two plum trees this spring that are doing well and my new perennials are covered in a rich blanket of snow. Seeing you in Thailand where all the green tropical are growing is such a treat! Happy New Year and I am looking forward to watching more wonderful videos on your garden, cats and of course, Jason!

Burlap! Merry Christmas Crane, from Granite Falls, NC. 😊 🎄 My daughter got me a few things from your store for Christmas. That has the fork on one side, and the scoop on the other. Being older, this will be a big help! Yay!! 🌿🫶🌸 I am learning to overwinter this year. The winter is hard for me as well. This will be my first year of really learning to plant cut flowers. I have dahali seeds growing under my grow lights, I cannot believe they are actually germinating! 😃🌼🌺 Yay!!

The water / alcohol mixture that you are using on your succulent plants, can that be applied to cut flowers while growing? Spider mites big problem where I live. Will it hurt them to spray? Succulents seem very resilient while some cut flowers are very frail? What do you think Crane?

Thank you for this special video. I will be starting 8 different varieties of Lisianthus tomorrow. I did dig out 9 Lisianthus this fall and potted in quart sized containers to overwinter under lights as an experiment. Hopefully, the ones you protected will overwinter. If you get so cold i assume you're in zone 7. They recommend presprouting the corms and planting in spring when most (hard )frost is gone. Not in fall For ranunculus and anemone. I think plants start sustaining damage at -4 c/28f.
