After watching your videos for a while I've been inspired to romanticize cooking meals at home. I've really noticed a difference in how much I enjoy cooking when I slow everything down and have intention through every step of bringing the meal together. Now cooking has become something I genuinely enjoy so thank you for the inspiration! ❤️

Can you do a tour of this little house?! I love it and I’m so curious what all the things were used for and how we lived 200 years ago!
@hannahduggan35992 жыл бұрын
Well, 200 years ago, it was 1822. There was no electricity, no cars, women and girls wore long skirts and dresses, men and boys wore suspenders with their pants, kids went to one room schoolhouses, and women and girls also wore bonnets.

I love that you added the radish greens to the salad. Whenever I go to the farmer's co-op or farmers market, I like to buy the radishes with the greens attached. I "frizzle" the greens in a little bacon fat, let them cool, then add them to my salad with the sliced radishes, some other greens and croutons. Here's my spur-of-the-moment dressing: Dijon mustard, white wine vinegar, walnut or avocado oil, a little sugar, a pinch each of salt and fresh-ground pepper, and dill.

Thank you for producing such quaint adorable videos that are a teaching lesson as well. I like to make salads a lot with lettuce, spring mix greens and radish, cucumber, green onion, tomatoe, if I have it boiled egg, avocado, shredded chicken or fish, and homemade croutons, even shredded cheese or crumblies of blue cheese. So many many ways to make salad indeed.

The 18th and 19th century really is a good reminder that cooking healthy food at home beats eating out and ordering food. Like I was thinking literally if we all learn to cook at home food that isn't gonna cause us to have consistent diharea then we'd all be fresh and fit(no pun intended) and we'd be living long satisfying lives.
