I have been worried about how to set up commissions lately, because Paypal limited my account. Then I remembered Ko-fi was a thing, and I was very happy to see that Stripe is a payment option. The commissions are easy to set up, and it has every option I need. Thank you so much for existing lol!

Hey there! This will definitely be useful. however there is something that it lacks. For musicians, the best way to do price is by how long the song is. So by having a set price, it's not possible to do this. Perhaps this could be a feature to have a slider or something and the price auto adjusts to the peripherals set

It's a good point, I guess you could add a commission listing for a short song and then use add-ons for additional time intervals?

Hey, great video! I want to open commissions soon on my Ko-fi. If they request something I can't draw, how easy is it to refund them? Does it cost me to do so?

Hi, to reject a commission you must refund the buyer using your connected payment method e.g. PayPal or Stripe. Please also let the buyer know that you will not fulfil their commission request. If there are certain things you don't want to draw, I would include these in your commission description, so the buyer is aware before they purchase.

Can people who pay with PayPal make chargebacks if they buy a commission via Kofi? Does Kofi keep you safe from scammers who want art and then make chargebacks?

PayPal would handle the payment and any chargebacks/refunds you may need but if you have any issues with a Ko-fi creator you can report your concerns on the Ko-fi site.

But how safe is it? I don’t really like putting my social Security number in places . I went to concert my paypal and ask for SSN I don’t know if I really like that

Ko-fi wouldn't see this info nor would the creator. All of that would be on PayPal's end.

That's totally up to you! You could send it through Ko-fi DMs, a social platform or email. There isn't a specific place/way to send them

@@SketchyRae so many countries are getting banned or either paypal accs get ban for no reason. I was hoping they add more. like Wise/gcash etc or direct to the cards /debit cards. i like using Ko-fi alot for commissions widget. my clients like it as well

@@Fuhen_Wakannai Well, you're not alone with this suggestion. C: So far, Gcash, Skrill and Payoneer was talked about in their server a little more, and card payments definitely would've been super. ✧ Ko-fi is usually managed by a small team - fixing bugs, server crashes, community management and all, so we'll have to wait a little longer before they take that sort of leap because nothing's far worse than payment mix-ups, I reckon. 🥶
