With the smaller ships like the Connie, you don't have to tow. You can just hook up and QT jump. It's quicker. Yu can't QT jump with larger ships like the HH though, so you do have to tow them.

if u go to the mission and it shows the salvage marker of the ship you qt back to yela and qt back to the mission again and then u can start up the hammerhead and drive it and jump with qt

​@@papadim3320this is the way I do it. Also free hammerhead for the day if its in good shape. Jump it away to a friend to salvage it for extra profit too.

What do you mean by "hook up"? Tractor or dock?

@@aidancues Tractor. You can just attach the tractor beam to the ship you are towing. Then fore up your QT drive and jump you and the other ship away. But there is a weight limit for the tractor beam, so a big ship like a HH you can't qt jump with. I have done it with a connie before though so something around that size or smaller is good to go.

If you set up a reclaimer Crew just outside the Yella asteroid belt. You could claim the missions for Connie sized ships and jump them to your reclaimer crew. They can strip the ships while you are off getting the next one :)

heh, the other day i kept getting "Friendly Fire" warnings while trying to scrape a legal salvage contract, so i got out, hopped in the seat....the ship was fully working? like, i could power it up, move, weapons worked, etc. It was an Arrow, and i just found the situation bizzare

Well, the big downside to this is it can take quite a while before you get another one of those missions. I did one and then sat through four mission refreshes without getting another.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes just sit in the pilot seat and then back out and you can tow it as if it’s your own ship, no crime stat. Making the job worth it, if you got a crime stat it would cost 30k to clear it or go to jail

I make more in 10 mins doing a merc mission for 30k .. this seems like a waste of time unless you're doing the top level rep missions..

There is a few ways to make a whole lot more, even looting can bring in a lot, sometimes, new players are not high enough to rep work or even fight as a merc. this just is another way to show them there are other things you can do. I don’t often do merc missions I’m more of a cargo runner and so doing other things changes it up. I have cargo runs earning 1.2 million per run but sometimes it’s that change that lets me play the game in a different way

You Don't need much to be a merc , go buy a pistol and a basic ship . You don't even need guns on the ship..

It was something we was doing when the hammerhead mission first came out and we could get 250k for the mission, but since they have nerfed the money, but is still a good one to do when renting the SRV

Yes, one you get in the seat and then back out, when you begin the tow it will ask you if you want to report the crime against yourself, if you ignore it, it will just cancel, I press no just to be safe

I do agree that it shouldn’t be like this, and this mission should be for salvage only, they need to give the srv a reason to be used, some missions that have you move ships around to be salvaged or fixed

You rent the ship at the convention center on Area 18. There's a map in front of the largest ship in the front (the polaris) of where the SRV is. Hope this helps. I believed it's in the left secondary hall in the back.

Sorry I thought people would have known already, you look at the convención center in hall 1-2 to the right as you come into the center convention hall. If it has gone because the ships changed, it will be available again at the end of the event

The new system is different, But I use a game pad so I am swapping between the 2, I sometimes leave struggles in the videos so people see what it is like for other players and that they are not alone
