Its important to gain a better understanding of what is really behind current geopolitical events. Firstly, understand that China has not engaged in a hot war in nearly 5 decades. Despite how they are portrayed in the media they are not a country who traditionally prefers to use military means to conduct warfare. Confucian and Taoist philosophy teaches that war should be avoided at all costs and should only be pursued in order to remove a force that is causing disharmony and conflict between neighbors. Sun Tsu also teaches fighting wars without actual fighting. As such, China’s goal is to reign Taiwan in through coercive economic and political means as they have slowly been working the wheels of diplomacy to convince Taiwan’s allies to switch their allegiances. For example, In the 70s there were over 40+ countries which had direct diplomatic relations with Taiwan. Fast forward today there are only 12, most of which are small third-world nations who are being paid by Taiwan in annual aid to maintain their diplomatic ties. The vast majority of the world (including the US) recognizes Taiwan as officially being a part of China under the One China policy. The US on the other hand has been doing everything and anything it can to provoke China into invading Taiwan just like Russia did Ukraine. This way they can gain the support of the entire world to unite against China and sanction them to oblivion as well as inflict heavy military losses. They will accomplish this not by sending US warships to fight in the Taiwan straight but through supplying Taiwan with strategic intel and weaponry to conduct a proxy war. Such is how modern wars are fought and the result could potentially set China back decades in both trade and technological advancements. China also knows they cannot fall into this trap so they must exercise restraint as to not actually attack Taiwan. They will try to hold off from doing so as long as they can while finding other means to reign Taiwan in (ie supporting China-friendly opposition parties to win Taiwans next election, isolating Taiwan diplomatically, limiting Taiwanese imports to the mainland which accounts for 30% of Taiwanese GDP) China’s recent military drills and saber rattling in the S China Sea was just a warning not a precursor. It was in direct response to the Taiwanese president’s recent visit to the US to meet with a high ranking US govt official which in diplomatic terms is pretty much a slap in the face to China. China immediately responded by conducting meetings with French president Macron getting him to publicly state that France and the EU should reduce its reliance on the US keeping their own best interests at the forefront of all policies which is essentially a clapback against the US. What you are witnessing here is diplomatic warfare. China’s strategy moving forward is to continue building coalitions around the world to de-dollarize and create alternative systems to counter against US hegemony economically and politically. Doing so will greatly affect the US’ ability to fund its military and proxy wars around the world. Whether we realize it or not WW3 is already upon us but not in the traditional sense of direct military battles. In the coming months expect more countries to break with long-established alliances to re-align themselves for the future multi-polar world order.

Very well said, this should be a top comment. I would also add that China's biggest consumer & debtor is America. China also has large debts and recent systemic failures of they're own that they can't afford to make worse at the moment. It's imperative that they go about what they're trying to accomplish in a round about way because doing anything brazen will severely cut new US money and possibly old US debt from continuing to flow into China. America will have to implode themselves and completely default on their debt obligations before China and other countries take any radical action against the US. However having said that, the debt ceiling is looking like a bad trap for America and the possibility of the derivatives market (which is currently estimated in the quads) coming undone could do the type of damage that would require a global reset.

However, I disagree with your characterization of the US as intentionally provoking China into invading Taiwan. The US has long-standing relations with Taiwan and has a responsibility to support their security and sovereignty. It is not in the interest of the US or any country for China to engage in military aggression towards Taiwan. Additionally, framing the current geopolitical climate as World War III is hyperbolic and undermines the severity of actual global conflicts. It is important to have a nuanced and informed discussion about the complex issues at play, but fear-mongering language does not contribute to productive dialogue.

This channel is really waking people up. I love to see young brothas discussing the most important issues of the day. I was put on to the technological singularity and artificial super intelligence by Ray Kurzweil’s The Singularity is Near (2005) which I read in 2007 but I would love to hear Oxford educated philosopher David Pearce’s The Hedonistic Imperative (1995) discussed on this channel. He proposes using AI and other advanced technology to eliminate all involuntary suffering in all sentient life. He refers to this as the abolitionist project. Great work, brothers. 💪🏿

Top 5 episode hands down in my humble opinion. Although China is essentially trying to pick up where Gaddafi left off, I do think that China pegging to Gold being a nail in the coffin for America is being a bit overblown. We, the US, still have the MOST Gold reserve in the world by far. I've always thought that if shit hit the fan, America could still "do the right thing" by going back to Gold backing at the cost of banking & market greed. Even if China is successful in doing so, we still have the counter measure to compete with whatever new currency they adopt...even if it's something different than the dollar like the Fed has planning.
