How to SLEEP IN and Still Ride EVERYTHING in Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Using Genie Plus

Do you wish you could sleep in, lounge at your resort all morning and still manage to ride EVERYTHING at Disney's Animal Kingdom? Believe it or not, it can be done using Disney Genie Plus and in today's video, we're going to show you how to do it. I love these sleeping in and doing everything videos! On a disney world vacation we are usually up early and in the parks late, it's nice to see that it can be possible to sleep in while on vacation!! Also I love those ears and think they turned out fantastic!!

Just want to come here and say thank you Rob and your team for the Animal Kingdom videos. I watched all of your animal kingdom videos and trying to work out a strategy suitable for us. We did not do early entry or rode drop as we know our little one will not last til the end of the park. We got to the park at 9:30am and focus on the ride on Dinosaur USA and Asia. Then at the middle of the day we did the 4s, had lunch at Yak & Yeti, and watch the shows. At 4pm we went to K. Safari and then we bought individual LL at 6:10pm for FOP, my older child can go on FOP twice with rider switch and towards the closing time we jump on the queue for Navi river journey. When we came out all the Pandora light light up. It was a perfect day at AK.

Another absolutely delightful video! I’m going to save this for our trip next fall as we are hoping to fly in and do a half day in AK so this is perfect to reference. I love the space balls reference 😆 we must be of the same gen. We packed ponchos for Kali River last time and thank goodness because we would have been drenched. So for the most recent lightning Lane tip, it sounds like we’ll have to keep track of which one we did most recently, because the ride LL times could even be out of sequence. Or by “most recent” do you mean the LL time that starts the soonest? I’m trying to get that concept down. Thanks!!

Honestly, I think you can sleep in and still get everything done at DAK even without Genie+. As much as they've added to it and improved it over the years, it's still kind of a half day park. Only most people do their half day in the morning and hop away at 2pm as there isn't an evening show, so I like to do the opposite - sleep in and do my half day in the afternoon when it's less busy. It is a shame it closes so early nowadays though as I used to love wandering around Pandora at night and just taking in the bioluminescence.

Hi there ! I’m a huge fan ! Your tech tips on genie plus and getting virtual queues were priceless ! We were even able to ride Tron during the soft opening last March using your advice. Can you please create a video with step by step recordings on how to snag the elusive Space 220 restaurant reservations?!! Nice hat, Etsy fans will be looking for it there. To reduce ear floppiness, consider some sort of black wire starting where yoylu attached the ears to the hat. You can stabilize the ears and the black wire should hide in the curve of the ears. Likely a hardware or craft store will have different gauges.

Hi, Rob! Can you please explain what you meant by tapping into the most recent Lightning Lane (Dinosaur being your example)? Was it recent because it was the third one you booked, or was it recent meaning it was the earliest possible one you could tap into (because of the earliest time)? Also, did you modify the latest one (Dinosaur) to be the earliest one so that you could do that? Lol I love your hat, it was so funny because I have always wanted a hat like that. I love your ear hat! I make the ears and to fix them from flopping, hot glue a rope trim (black) they sell at craft stores and even in the fabric department in Walmart. It should give them more stability.

Hi Rob. All good? First of all i would like to say that i love your youtube videos. I'm from Brazil and in September I'll be going to Disney for the first time. Many companies in Brazil sell a virtual guide service to assist in booking Genie+ attractions and purchasing individual LLs. But it's not a cheap service. Do you think this type of service is really necessary? I'm afraid of wasting a lot of time worrying about scheduling the attractions and ending up enjoying the park less. Hi Olga! I actually have very little experience using rider switch, but I do know that the process is different from ride to ride. It depends a lot on how the queue is set up and how they can best accommodate folks efficiently. Wish I had more information for you!

Hello! The rule is that you can book your next Lightning Lane either: A) After using the most recent Lightning Lane that you booked (or allowing it to expire) -OR - B) By waiting two hours after you booked the most recent Lightning Lane (note that for Lightning Lanes booked before the park opens, the two hours don’t start counting down until park open. And that’s how I booked them - I just kept waiting two hours and booking another. Thanks for watching! 😃

I'd say it is highly unlikely since there are so many Cast Members and Guests who would rush to help out if you were having a heat stroke, but probably best to stay hydrated and in the AC as much as possible so you don't have to find out!
