Luckily Friendly Fire from NPCs had been turn off. So you can run around freely on the fireworks. Only the players that you need to worry about.

My God what an insanely satisfying mission. Usually you don't get to go full barga on most monsters unless you're an endgame air rider but here they just let you go completely nuts on every big boy the primers have to offer. It's also really endearing to see how the operator hardly paid any mind to the barga blowing up and instead panicked out of worry for storm 1 before instantly showing relief after confirming he was okay. The game's been showing us signs she cared deeply about him since mission 65 so it's really nice to see those feelings developing even further in these last few missions. Given there can't be too many missions left I have to wonder whether she'll able to make good on her statement of fighting alongside storm 1 or not

The reason we're not fighting (a) Glaucus is probably that in _this_ timeline they listened to the Brofessor and didn't set Siren on fire with the Depth Charges. So Glaucus wasn't created. I do wish they would've talked a bit about how there's _three_ Siren now, they don't seem to be very surprised about it 😅

The "just dumb fun" mission. Can imagine with the right planning this could be quite a nice inferno farm given you can get so many boxes relatively safely if you wait till very few enemies remain and use the bike to get around.

You can also finish this mission much quicker if you just keep spamming the Copper Cannon. I didn't do it in this video to keep collataral damage to a minimum as the cannon also destroys the other Bargas.

there is another pretty good lategame farm in an underground base during the ??? missions and while it doesn't have the same insano yield of boxes that this one does it's got a lot of safe and cheesy corridors to throw flamethrower turrets down in

@@dansmith1661 Fun fact: It wasn't that easy to figure out which "Kappa" they're referring to with the weapon name. Even the Japanese community wasn't entirely sure. At first I thought it's the Greek letter, Kappa, because other weapons have Alpha, Omega, etc. in their names. Kappa, the creature from japanese folklore came to mind as well, but that would be a weird name. I finally settled on "Copper" (as in, the chemical element) because when written in Japanese, that has a _long_ a-vowel at the end whereas both Kappa (Greek letter) and Kappa (folklore creature) have a short a-vowel at the end and the Katakana used to write the weapon name _also_ uses a long vowel at the end. So I'm pretty sure now it's supposed to be Copper, the chemical element 👨‍🔬⚗️ Still a weird name but maybe it uses copper coil tubing or something...😁

I always preferred Balam over Barga aesthetically, but the power of these Copper Cannons might have just sold me on Armament Barga being the superior to both. These things are amazing. Do you think they were reverse-engineered from the side guns of Mobile Base? They operate quite similarly.

​@@renegilramos3661 I did specify "aesthetically". Mechanically, of course Barga beats Balam out. But all those smooth, cylindrical surfaces with minimal detailing and the garish default orange colour, I can't help but prefer the huge bulky and greebled walking battleship aesthetic of Balam. I think the extra bulked out armour, running lights, broader shoulders, the black-and-red paint job and the big ol' fold-out energy cannons on Armament Barga's back strikes a good balance. I think I still probably prefer Balam aesthetically speaking, but Armament Barga is a pretty close second in terms of looks. No contest on gameplay, though. Those two piddly hip guns on Barga could never compare to Armament Barga's big guns. The level of damage those things can deal is very reminiscent of EDF 4.1's Rule of God.

I'm glad you noticed! I know the mission runtime is much longer because of this but I tried to keep collateral damage at a minimum. If you just spam the Copper Cannon, you destroy not only the monsters but your fellow Barga Boys as well.

@@cenorexia Even then, these fidget spinners deal a truly absurd amounts of damage with their beams, and these are just regular Type 3 Drones... Bargas can't effectively fend off any kind of flying enemy in general, Battle Drones, Flying Types, Tadpoles... (God forbid if Krakens showed up...) But right here, Type 3s have truly earned the title of the "Barga Killer".

Yes, that's the reason why this video is so long. The other Bargas get damaged by the cannon, too. I tried to keep collateral damage to a minimum, that's why I'm not just spamming the Copper Cannon or else I would've taken out the Barga team with it. If you just want to finish the mission, you can do it much quicker if you disregard the other Bargas and just blast _everything_ 😅

They do look very similar but the PS5 version runs much smoother, with a more stable frame rate and at a higher resolution (up to 4k). It's not that noticable on KZbin but you'll notice the difference once you play the game.

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain is running on Unreal Engine 4. It does look better than the other games in the series, but when the visuals are getting _too_ realistic, I think a lot of the charm and visual identity is lost. But maybe in the future they can try to use UE5 for another spin-off title?

It's not always perfect and there's some screen tearing when a lot is going on but it's overall very smooth for an EDF game.

You need to press L3 to prepare/charge the cannons, then Triangle to discharge (see previous mission, M135. It's explained at the end when you first board the Armament Barga) 😉

Wow, this game looks so horrible. The graphics, the story, everything. This has to be a giant fail. There is no way this is on equal terms with helldivers.

It doesn't really matter if it's a success or not. The game already had it's run two years ago, won numerous awards and has a loyal fan base that goes back more than 20 years. Whatever it does now in the West is just a bonus. These games are loved and never tried to compete with any big budget titles. Even after twenty years it's just a couple of gamers (Sandlot is like 20 people) coming together to make a game, and it shows. The series is not for everyone, so it's okay if you don't like it, but there's no point comparing it to other games. The only similarity with Helldivers, and only the _second_ Helldivers game at that, is both being third person shooters and _Helldivers 2_ also featuring some insect like enemies and robots. But again, it doesn't matter how successful Helldivers 2 is, EDF6 doesn't need to compete with it. The Earth Defense Force games are still a niche series for a niche community, but that community loves them dearly. And hey, if the games were so bad and nobody played them, they surely would've stopped making them at some point in the past twenty years, right? So they gotta have _something_ going for them I guess...

Hey there! Unfortunately this game (Earth Defense Force 6) is not available on Xbox. It is only available for PlayStation 4/5 and PC. However, some _older_ entries in the series are available on Xbox: _Earth Defense Force 2017, Earth Defense Force 2025_ and _Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon._

You're welcome. If you also have a PlayStation I'd say just get the game there. The performance is better on PlayStation 5 of course but if you only have a PS4 that's fine enough as well. Both versions can also play with each other.
