@@em_fr1 Well, imagine the tension that the string is making by being attached to the buildings, considering that the strings are thick metal. So if a string breaks, we assume that it is going to be moving like a giant metal whip of death. Then the musician dies lol.

I got to see the Earth Harp up close at the 2019 Winter NAMM show but didn't get to hear it until now. Pretty amazing. Actually it sounds more like a cello than a harp.

it is closer to a cello than a harp because on a harp you pinch the strings. what he does with his hands is basically what a cello bow does to the strings
