I was playing in a band, gigging in Toronto, when the keyboard player said the new Monty Python movie, The Life of Brian, was playing a matinee in a downtown theater. As we stood at the back, looking at this rebuilt, historic theater, all the decorative plaster work with a huge balcony, while we decided where to sit, this Earth, Wind & Fire song came over the sound system, beautiful. I bought the album this is on when it was new 40 years ago, and 40 years later it is still my favorite EWF song. These guys could sing solo or harmonize together like nothing that comes anywhere close today. Listen to the richness of their voices, and the instruments being played as accompaniment. This is award winning music. So glad I was young and experienced this era firsthand.

I forgot to mention that I still have the cabinet model Fisher Philharmonic combination turntable/AM FM stereo my wife and I purchased in 1968! In similarity to your comment on your sound system,I spoke to a woman who is a proud owner of a teddy bear she caught,directly from Teddy Pendergrass at one of his concerts. I realize how cherished these stuff are to people of your kind,and how you older folk value them(a sound system from 1969 which gives you so much in one play qualifies to be a fortune,in this modernized world ) I look forward to having such prized items in my possession someday too.
