I heard this song in early spring '78 when I was 5 years old, growing up in the Bronx. It did something to me the day I first heard it. A lifting of my soul, a connection to a deeper level of consciousnesses that my young brain intuitively sensed, and a feeling of intense joy. To this day it is my favorite song, and my anthem. Great mix and take on it here!

sadly we lost maurice white recently. i was truly sad about that. i did get to see them recently at their concert at the maryhill winery, though, and it was truly wonderful ❣️ so glad i got to see him one last time, although he did bitch about the rain, lol! only we northwesterners don't mind that. edit: i respectfully disagree on one point: let's groove is my fave cuz i used to dance to that in seattle with all my böing homies when they sang: "glide like a 747." just all us airplane kids proud of seattle!
