@braedengray93563 жыл бұрын
The cool part about this is that it's an homage to their real world origins. Scooby and the gang have their roots in an earlier show called Mysteries Five. The band, Mysteries Five, featured five rock 'n roll teenagers and their bongo playing sheepdog named Too Much. (Notice Scooby's instrument) The show was revised and re-pitched under the title Who's S-s-scared subtracting a member, and replacing the Archie-esque sheepdog with a Great Dane. Long story short... they aren't faking :)

I fell like this version of the hex girls was before their time. I feel like if this movie came out now or even 2010’s they would have had a full on album or spin off show. They would profit off of how good they were/are

@kingwildcat61920003 жыл бұрын
Okay dude I think you need to touch some grass, firstly the Hex girls were an eco goth band and secondly they never did anything that to have the bases to claim they were lgbt, be it actions, words or implied. I honestly dont see a reason to claim they are lgbt when its just a children's cartoon
@BlackSabbathfan3 жыл бұрын
@@kingwildcat6192000 ya I know. But a lot of LGBTS have expressed admiration for them and claimed there the reason why they become queer.

@@BlackSabbathfan I mean they do belong there same with the og charmed series both played a huge part for me as a kid. That wasnt my issue, I was talking about how you claimed that pride month was a month that honor them when it doesnt, the characters were never gay in the series, wasnt activist (aka allies) or remotely touched the subject and at the end of the day they are simply cartoon characters that are beloved by many be it lgbt or not.

This song, & their other one, are WAY better then they had to be. I always hear lesbians or bi girls saying the Hex Girls were their gay awakening. I’m a gay man, & I was OBSESSED with them when this came out when I was around 5, & pretty much every other gay guy around my age has said the same. For whatever reason, gays of both genders really love them lol. Lesbians are attracted to them, gay men want to be them!

Twenty plus years later and a 27 year old me still has a crush on Torn. *Edit for fun fact: The voice actress of Thorn; Jennifer Hale, also voiced June in ATLA who happened to be yet another "goth girl"
@Kevin1504711 жыл бұрын
I think it would work if it went Earth, water, fire and air. Thorn seems to hold the word wind for a bit anyway. That said, I love this song. This movie was my first exposure to Wicca. It is full of inaccuracies but it got me curious and for that I'm grateful. Wicca is not carried through a bloodline. Its a religion. One sixteenth Wiccan is like being on sixteenth Christian or Hindu.
@iwalkbythemoonlight8 жыл бұрын
Same here. I've been Wiccan for what seems like forever and I never could pinpoint what my first introduction to Wicca was, as my whole family was Christian. And then one day I remembered this movie and how it had already primed me to thinking about Wicca in a way that didn't portray it as evil and satanic, but earth-based and woman-empowering. Cause the Hex Girls were my role models as a kid...

The nostalgic is too MUCH to handle with this one. It sometimes is bittersweet that we get hit with a feeling you wished you go back to but can't. So take it to heart when your parents tell you enjoy being a kid while last people.
