As a young Jamaican "party girl" back in the 70s, this was the "party done, go on home" song. DJs use to play it as the last song and everybody knew the party was over but nobody moved because boys and girls were "tight" holding each other "rocking" to this mind-blowing song. DJs had to turn on the lights to get us to leave. Eheh.😄😃😀. Those were fun times!

Incredible!!! I've said before that the late great Charles Stepney is an unsung hero of this album! This album changed the trajectory of EWF!
@jacknjill30003 жыл бұрын
Back when everyone in the neighborhood had this album or 45. We all would sing along and trying our best to sing just like EWF. best time to be a kid in the 70’s and starting to like girls and figuring out how it all worked. ❤️🎶

One of the greatest one night stand songs ever, Earth,wind and fire did it with class,those horns, arrangements and production Charles stephney and Maurice White rip to two creative forces,Philip Bailey tore this joint up

Thank you for mentioning Charles Stepney!! He is the sound behind all of this. And when he died prematurely the sound of EWF changed…which just lets you know how much influence Stepney had. Geniuses, all of them

Oh the great memories for this song. Earth Wind and Fire was the best. When the saxophone matched the voice was the best. Seventh grade hormones going wild when we had "Intermediate school" dances (canteens). Who was going to grow balls and ask a girl to dance to slow dance? Lol

i think the reason why we love classic songs cause its eternal and authentic and songs nowadays were just followings and could only bring depression feelings . but these kinda songs just make me happy and other people happy too who sing it.

Tonight, after a long day at work and taking care of my family, popping the EW&F CD in made me cry. This is not Church Music but God had to have had a hand in this sublime beauty. This song, this music is a balm for body and soul.
