I had the pleasure of seeing Ertha Kitt at the Colony Theater on Miami Beach in the 90s. After she performed her club hit "I Need A Man" Miss Kitt said, and I paraphrase , ' I recorded all those wonderful songs through the years, and they give me a Grammy for that?!' Her biography is amazing.
