EarthBound in Unity

A very early proof of concept at attempting to make EarthBound in a 2.5d style inspired by Octopath Traveler. About 95% of the time was used on making the battle system, this plus just picking up Blender only two days ago makes the Overworld section not look as good as it should but I hope the style that I meant to show can be seen.
I wanted to release the whole first section of the game playable (obviously for free) as a EarthBound 30th Anniversary thing (Japan release date) but due to time constraints, my ability lack of 3D modeling / Pixel Art / Music, and DMCA fear I am thinking of leaving it like this unless I get a lot of demand to complete it (which I would probably try to get a team for).
Of course, most of the assets are taken out of EarthBound. The trees models were picked up from Darth_Artisan assetstore.uni...
The fences models were made by CrispKaptain www.blendswap....,

Thank you all for the support! Looking back at this video after some years makes me have so many regrets on some decisions that could have done so, so much better (the overworld looks bad let's be honest). Also, recording this on a macbook air and having 480p definition as a result lol. As I mentioned in the description I won't be continuing this as I've moved on and would like to do something original. Meanwhile, MOTHER is owned exclusively by Shigesato Itoi, therefore Nintendo legally can't take down anything MOTHER-related.

The Battle UI looks good but the one on the SNES was designed to be able to see every command at once Think about the rolling HP I've had SO many times where I needed to rapidly use Lifeup and spinning through a menu just takes precious time This is a case of form over function Although, that's just one aspect of the battle UI The rest looks solid

Inconsistences aside (Ness cannot do PK Freeze, Poo cannot do PK Fire and Jeff doesn't have PSI) it looks descent, there are just some things that need to be fixed, like the enemies in the overworld, giving them movement... But I guess it's in the phase of testing battles and stuff

ight ima just say whats on my mind, i dont hate this in fact i think its amazing. but im just giving feedback. 1. lets start off with the good parts the battle system, just amazing. i love the little thing on the top thats just cool. i also like how kinda like in mother 3 when its someones turn they stick there heads out. i do gotta say doe, the counter stuff could be a little more 8 bit, but other then that its fine. 2.i dont really like the overworld, its a little big, and for me not really a earthbound feel, i think u should make the buildings a little smaller, not too much though... i think also there were some polygons in it, i kinda like where your going with that, its cool. thats kinda all everything looks great and i hope to play this in the future.
