It's the eye. Everything calms down the sun/moon will shine through the eye, then the back portion of the hurricane happens. Often that is the worst part, the back side of the hurricane. Violent winds, the pulling in the rest of the storm surge, and rain rain rain. What you are seeing is the eye with the moon shining bright. Don't listen to the weirdos who are saying dingy stuff. I do believe the hurricane was caused by "seeding", that's been a thing since the 60's-70's? Of course technology is more advanced so....🤨 But the most of what some people are saying is ridiculous.

Actually they were surfing before it hit. There’s not much afterwards unless they go all the way to the east side of the coast at that point. The surfers were out here on this day all morning. Great time to surf. They are smart enough to know when to leave also

The eye hit way later during darkness when the camera was already out. These effects lasted all day & the big hit was through late Thursday evening early Thursday morning. This is Naples. We are in the “dirty” zone of the storm. Just feeder bands. No eye for us or in any video you will see as it all happened in the late night, very dark hours

When I see people on the beach with a hurricane coming, and having an 'older' beach patrol guy, probably telling them to get out of the water, having a mini stroke every time the water gets higher, that he, just might, HE has risk his life or another persons life to save them.....and KNOW they'd be the first to press charges if anything happened, I get a little pissed.
