I believe Cole's verse is necessary for this song. It completes perspectives of the grind, the come up, the survivor's guilt to give back, and then awareness of one's power which is where Cole is at.

Cole can't win lol Cole been rapping introspective and deep thoughts since he started but here and there he does boast he has songs where he flexes at times. I get it people don't want him to rap about it but he is 13 years into his career people keep calling him boring and hate his subject matter so he switch it just a little bit and people say no bro that is not it go back to.... lol
