They played in Washington DC about 10-12 Years ago. I look my grow children to go see them. Was grand, small venue. Talked to the guitar player swell Guy. He loves Jimi Hendrix believe me. He talked about Hendrix for 15 Minutes....

It was pretty cool hearing / seeing this live performance of a Tone McPhee signature song. Great guitar wizardy to honor his sound. I get the sense of his spending hours upon days listening to Groundhogs Split as his thesis study in technique. High praise for sure, but I say it in the blissful nature of what is a fan. And I am a fan of music in all its forms. Isaiah Mitchell is essential.

Wow ... just saw them live for the first time. Old enough to have seen many if not most of the greats. The guitarist is definitely in the elite category. Also, got to chat with him for a few minutes before the show and nice human. So many people that are getting older don't go out anymore or just wait to see classic bands that charge a premium for tickets. They miss bands like this that are out there now producing great music that would have filled arenas back in the glory days of hard rock. Get off the coach and go out. Anyway, thanks for a great night of music. Will definitely go see again.

My second time seeing them was last night here in Maine. I believe their first time up here. Last time I was blessed by their performance was in Philly. Mind blowing show both times. I hope they make a return trip back up. If you have never had the chance to see this show live you really should make it a priority.

@@mroc7113 Been "experiencing" them for the last 15 years, lad, it's still just noodling up and down the blues scale though. Nothing wrong with it if that's what you like but for a festival setting it is pure filler. According to the band themselves, they "don't partake" in the only stoner activity that makes it stoner, which as a musician would be the only reason you'd ever wanna jam for an entire hour around the blues scale anyway, just always seemed a bit pointless. Used to listen to From the Ages for a period but the novelty wore off quite quickly. Blues for the Red Sun is still a better, and definitely more authentic, stoner experience.

Thank you very much for the drumstick in the Sonic Blast. I collect drumsticks whenever I can and I really like the group. My shoulder came out and they took me to the hospital. They put it in its place. I took a taxi and at 10:45 I was back inside the concert. Do not let what happened to give the drumsticks to the public. They deserve it and you know it.
