Thank you so much for testing all of these for us! Your video had us cracking up in the office, especially the T-shirt comment! Also, sorry that the Honeydew bottle busted on in shipping, we will be sending you a new one :)

Hi there . I'm a newbie at this pottery stuff about 13 months in. Therefore I watch a lot of KZbin videos for guidance education. I think your glaze reviews are so spot on. Using a bowl or a mug as a test tile is a great way to show how the glaze sits, runs etc. I've now been using pieces that have cracked or pieces I'm just not happy with, to test glazes. The way you joke about and make fun of things are amusing, therefore making it an enjoyable video to watch. Not boring and not dragging on with dribble about mundane things. Keep up the great content.

Holy Schmoly! On the black gloss is far superior to all the others! You used the magic word “purple” & my heart melted 💜 You are so darn funny…. You’d be a great ceramics professor, you make the chemistry details seriously interesting & I always want to learn more. Thanks!

I think my favorite, actually, were the ones you didn't like - the gold combo ones. Very subtle!

Now I am even more excited to see my test tiles, and I am doing a sculpture with brown clay and now I'm thinking I might flux it when it's ready for glaze!

Great timing on this review and I have these new flux glazes in my studio. I did start with Midnight Run alone. So we will see now it goes. However, I'm trying Flux blossom over Obsidian so see if I can get something similar to what you got.

I remember an amaco rep talking about the numbering of glazes has something to do with it colour composition, for example low numbers are “darker” like midnight run is a 3.

I've been doing some tests with amaco's honey flux and I've been getting some really cool results as well fired to ^6! But I've been doing it opposite, where I use the honey flux as a base glaze and layer my community's studios dip glazes on top. But I got a super cool result putting mayco's amber quartz (typically satin goldish color) on top of honey flux and it gave some cool drips in pastel pinks/blues/purpley colors. But that said, I'd be hella curious to see your temmoku rim dipped on top of flux blossom.

Oh gosh, that sounds like exactly the results and colors I want to get. Did you do the honey flux over the whole pot? Would it run off the pot? I have a number of large bowls made and want to do some glazing with those effects. They are for my grown kids. I wish you could post a picture.

Like the plain blossom the best. Loved the blue it caused on the brown

I think that most crystalized glazes are done with nickel and cooled in the kiln differently. You might try that. (Like the ones done with tenemoku)

Great video as always! I love this series. Quick question: what recipe do you use for Temmoku gold? It’s gorgeous!

I will try to put it on my glazy account next week. It seems like I've collected a large amount of glaze recipes that are lost to time.

@@EarthNationCeramics Awesome, I’m looking forward to it! P.S. your vid for Albany Slip Brown was especially helpful when I was trying it out a few weeks back. You did a great job showing how different application thicknesses cause pretty substantial changes in color 👌🏼
