Takes a real man, and a long-time husband, to be able to artfully admit he gave incorrect instructions to his bride. Glad to see you learned shop the same way I did, outside of any classroom and by taking things apart and putting them back together 3 or 4 times, to avoid any comments on "left-over parts" from family members. Great job on getting it working. Thanks for the tip on Muriatic Acid dissolving aluminum before it dissolved the cylinder sleeve. Did you consider honing the cylinder walls with oiled ScotchBrite pads or very fine abrasive paper mounted (somehow) on your drill to ensure that the motor would have a greater chance of working for years to come? This was a great video, proving you don't have to shoot the parts cannon in a big way every time there is a minor setback amongst the machines you depend on everyday. $20 for a replacement piston with rings was a great find. I got 10 Chinese double-sealed spindle bearings for a Snapper mower deck for about $12, less than the price of one OEM bearing that had been on back-order for a year or so, and I needed 4. You skipped the only part I needed to see. At the point of installing the 2nd piston ring (on piston) into the cylinder bore, you skipped that part. I am having difficulties with mine.

Oops happen, I love to fixing my own stuff and do video most of it just in case I screw up, more often than not. We bale hay and have some cattle, gave you the big thumb and we Parked in you lot. have a nice weekend.
