Agreed. It’s certainly not the wacky kind of thing EarthQuaker Devices is famous for, but it’s a solid practical pedal that fills a need on most people’s boards. The spaceship noises when switching between presets can also easily be exploited to serve those still looking for something wacky, too.🤘

The pedal on its own is pretty straight forward and sounds awesome. But when you pair it with drives and other pedals you realize just how unique it is. I’ve been messing with it for 5 days now and it’s been a blast. One cool thing I discovered is if I put my night wire pedal after the silos, both the time on the silos and rate on the night wire will effect self oscillation from the silos. Great delay pedal. Bought as soon as the video ended. I used to play all brands of pedals but it's almost exclusively Earthquaker now because of variety and ingenuity. Also the best demo videos. Love you EQD

I was wondering when someone would finally do this. It seems so obvious, but having tap, presets and the three most usable kinds of delay in one pedal has been quite elusive up to this point without scrolling through menus. Also, the price is more than fair. I think this one is going to be a workhorse for a lot of musicians!

I just got the Silos and it’s amazing. Gets everything you want and then still manages to get crazy. Definitely a must have. I do have a complain not about the pedal but about how new pedals have been shipped. I have noticed the stickers have gotten cheaper and smaller and you guys don’t put a pick in there. It stupid but I miss it.

The video states mode 3 is an Echoplex sound but the description states oil can with really dark repeats. Bit confusing as the 2 sounds described are completely different. Good sounding pedal though, and a great utility delay for covering a lot of bases with the presets. P.S Jamie looks like Gilmour in this video!

i dont think it’s a series as much as it is their new format. i can imagine a 7 knob rain-chine with 1 knob as a preset knob, it’d be very helpful actually on their “tougher” devices, especially the data corrupter. but if you’re bored, just turn some knobs and change it up maybe. and if you like the sound of it, save it as a preset 😉

does it do the oscillating thing that a carbon copy does when u turn the time knob to faster delay time where it squeals and holds that tone? or does it just kind of dissipate within itself.

It does the similar thing with the Analog and Tape modes but it all depends on how you play so you might think they don't act the same ways.
