This dude is one of the greatest thrash drummers on earth. I remember hearing the Arise album for the first time back in the day and being shocked at his aggression, control and primal creativity. BTW, that synth he’s using is amazing. It’s a near-perfect reimagining of the Yamaha DX-7 (that plucky bass sound on nearly every pop 80s record and the famous 80s electric piano) but scaled down to a size you can fit in your backpack

I met Igor outside of the Longhorn Ballroom, Dallas TX, after their headlining gig on the New Titans On The Block Tour, sometime in 1991. Very nice guy. Looked a little different back then! Crazy ass show. One of the sickest ever. I remember the venue had these big Samoan bouncers by the stage. One of them kicked a fan during a scuffle and Max stopped the music. He said on the mic "Security, if you kick one of our fans again we will stop the show. Then we will see how everyone here behaves!" It was such a serious threat too. We would have torn the place apart! Lol

It’s “Sun”. I was pretty surprised he added the verbal “O”. The band is called Sun after the band Earth and in a nod to Sunn amplifiers. It’s just the SunnO))) logo from the amps. No one called the amplifier company “Sunn-o”, yet people confuse the name of the band for some reason 🤦🏻♂️
