I've watched multiple reviews of this toy, only you, emgo, gave a sufficiently detailed explanation of the transformation that I could do it. Thank you! This thing was frustrating as hell, my first copy popped a knee joint and the leg fell off. I had to return it for a new one. Those legs needed a better joint design! Never stop the meticulous, detailed transformation descriptions.

Patriot Prime showed it as well. He also showed that you can turn the chest piece around in robot mode and have Knok showing with the engine piece plugged on him so you can get the full G1 attached look. XD

I'm not a huge fan of the downsizing of Leaders either, but at least Doubledealer here is actually slightly taller than Optimus and Megatron AND he's much more massive. There is actually extra plastic in the figure, as opposed to Astrotrain who needed an entire folding plastic box to justify his price point.

Yeah like here in Italy the distribution is soooo bad...in the stores they are still movie toys and Cyberverse, a little bit of Combiner Wars and Titan Return here and there...but Earthrise, Siege I bought them on Amazon ore Ebay, maybe now with the show on Netflix there will be more effort but yeeeah no way I can find them in stores(even big stores, comic stores forget it! You can find some masterpiece but they're insanely expensive)

Fantastic updated figure. Accessories all make sense and have genuine purpose, and I like how technically the bird wings would work in bot mode giving him the appearance of an arch angel. Only additional detail I would have added is the the red to bring out the wheels more. Those shorts at the end never get old. Long time fan of the additional humor/effort.

I like to imagine Doubledealer is like a reverse Punch/Counterpunch. Whereas Punch is on the Autobots side with a Decepticon robot mode, Doubledealer is a Decepticon (with a humanoid robot mode) that can change his signature to any Autobot sensor system.

I was so happy to get this one. Although... Fake Leader class. He should have come with his powermasters. He is a voyager size , not leader. the thing you dont know at 3:48, is a radar signal scanner! The powermasters are actually more fun on the original G1 then here. :/

That square with the grey panel is either a high powered radar for the ICBM targeting and what not. Or it’s a small trophy system to protect the missile from being shot or blown up accidentally.

I just got mine yesterday from Wal-Mart. He'd been there the last few times I went so I saved him from being a shelf warmer. I have a few notes about him. Him leg joints are kinda loose. It's not like rag doll level there just a little floppy on the hips and shin swivels. The locking points for the hands are kinda tight so I end up using his radar pod, that weird thing, to lock and unlock them. I'm pretty sure the tail ramp was designed that way so it locks but I think it's a little too wide for truck mode. For the legs in falcon mode, I just like to keep them in the truck mode configuration because (1, it looks better IMO and (2, if/when I get his Power Masters they won't fall out. If you don't want the missile on his back in falcon mode, if the clip breaks is too tight or whatever, there's a spot you can attach the tail without it right behind where it attaches, it also gives him tail articulation.

Update: I got his Powermasters and if you have the little engine piece on their back they still fit in the vehicle mode. The gap between his legs is the perfect size for it.

When I first openned this figure up I was very disappointed with him, something about his look which didn't gel with me. I ended up giving some of the weapons to other bots and the ramp/tail feathers is now attached to Scorpy and now a lot of the clutter has been taken away from him I've ended up falling in love with the Big Beefy Bot O' Chunk.

I call Doubledealer, Apeface, Snapdragon, Titans Return Alpha Trion and Punch / Counterpunch reverse triple changers. 2 sentient modes and one alternate disguise mode. If I had painting skills I would even make Apeface and Snapdragon into Junkions to be a nod to Kong and Godzilla.
