So glad to see your channel. This is the first review I’ve seen about Earthschooling on YT.

Thanks for watching! I noticed that myself and asked around on other channels but couldn’t find a review. I hope this helps! I’m really enjoying it thus far, but I’m pretty far from being an expert on curriculum.

Thanks for reviewing Earthschooling. I am leaning towards this curriculum. how much did it cost to get the book bound and where did you get it done?

I have nothing but good things to say about it personally. It is the first full curriculum I have ever gotten, but honestly it might be my last. I just got the first grade one and I’ll be doing a review of that soon. It’s so affordable and there’s so much included with it! I got a bunch of books to supplement, but I hardly have time to even worry with those. This curriculum is quite thorough thus far! I got it bound locally at a print store. Cost me about $5/book.

ReliableRoots thank you! I’ll be keeping an eye out for the video. :)
So cool, thanks for sharing! How much would you say you spend on printing? I've weaved in out of their website and it seems like a lovely curriculum. I appreciate you walking us through it. :)

Thank you so much for watching!! I got a great deal on ink off Amazon for my own printer so I printed them off myself. To have them bound was only $5 or $6 per book. For the entire year (4 books for the 4 seasons), I’d estimate I’d probably spend around $30 to print them and have them bound.

We are considering Earthschooling. Our son ia between prek and k so we are considering buying both. Is everything included? Did you have to print it all out and if so how much roughly did it cost you? Thank you so much.

I would just buy the kindergarten one honestly. They are so similar I wouldn’t see a need for both. The kindergarten just has a little more than the preschool. I printed it at home and laminated the cover. The binding for all 4 books (I grouped them into spring, summer, fall, and winter) cost me about $30. There’s so much included! They have mp3s online for the songs, recipes, holidays, stories, art galleries, teacher help, ask a Waldorf teacher, and a helpful Facebook forum! It’s been great! Highly recommend!

Are you still using this cirriculum, any updates?

I am not. I switched to Oak Meadow last year. This curriculum was wonderful! I really enjoyed it. However, it was time consuming for me because there was a lot of reading involved, plus the whole printing and binding thing. I’m a working homeschooling mom, and it was a lot on me to do all that, but if I had more time I would’ve loved to continue with it. It’s so close to Waldorf philosophy and they give you so much info for the price!

@@reliableroots How has your switch to Oak Meadow been? I've been considering different Waldorf curriculums and debating which way to go. Oak Meadow is currently my first choice. Thanks for any inputs!

@@IndiBex86 I actually just bought the 4th grade to use this year and then changed my mind. I’ll try to put out a video soon about why, but in short(ish), I find it difficult with my time restraints to teach multiples as my children get older. Basically I was separating them and doing one on one time with each one, and that was a bit much, especially if one needed more time with something they weren’t grasping. Additionally, oak Meadow just wasn’t really working well for my oldest. She became bored with some things, and other things were too difficult. So I picked a few things from oak Meadow to use this year, but basically I’m piecing together my own curriculum using what I know about Waldorf, what works for them as individuals, and what works for us as a family. Unit studies seemed to do well with us last year, so we’re going to continue with those this year. For language arts I’m going to try out the good and beautiful curriculum, and for math I’m trying out Singapore math. I’m also going to do some of the lesson blocks from earthschooling, and I’ll probably piece in some crafts and activities from oak Meadow (I am definitely using their enrichment package and recorder book)

How different is the kindergarten from the preschool? We are already doing the preschool so wondering if purchasing the kindergarten is worth it. Thanks!

To me it’s a nice connection between the two. Basically kindergarten is the expanded version of the preschool curriculum. There’s more involved in the kindergarten then preschool.
