This is the foundation on which our civilization's future will be built. Basic principles clearly demonstrate all of our sustainability and scarcity issues are the result of misguided engineering. In time we will gain the wisdom to redefine the logistics of our material necessities.

Love you guys I mentioned you frequently on congresswoman Deb Hallins Facebook page. Not really sure about the last name there. But anyway I was coming up with this ratio. And it seems to me the growing space has to be three quarters . And the living space has to be one quarter. for it to grow enough food. Maybe I'm not taking into account the outside area. Anyway set me straight. I'd love that.

I always wondered, what is the maintenance like for an earthship in New Mexico? are they truly maintainable for a post-apocalyptic world

I have been living in my Taos earthship since last January. It was built in 1996 and used as a summer home for a famous rich guy. Very neglected. Earthships need to be taken care of. " If you take care of it...it will take care of you. " Happy to report that we are putting it back together. New batteries, rebuilt water collection system, servicing wind turbine, resurfacing plaster and adobe. Re glazing windows.Very pleasant work. It has held up beautifully thanks to Mike's construction techniques and wonderful (AMAZING) design. It was nice and warm in here the minute I moved in on January 11th 2020. It's better constructed and has held up better than my 1884 brick row house in downtown Pittsburgh. It is wonderful to be off grid. Go for it!

@Pecker Dúnling San Patricio Space Dolphin Brigada I’ve heard multiple people saying they go into town for water I already came to the conclusion that a rammed earth home with the earthships attribute of built in ac with solar panels/solar hot water would make the ultimate apocalypse home

@Pecker Dúnling San Patricio Space Dolphin Brigada rammed earth is build from dirt, hence why it’s called rammed earth

We have all kinds of stuff pounded into our tires. iPhones, toothbrushes, small electronics, cables and wires, plastic things, etc.

@@Whaaat2008 did it slow down the tire pounding process by adding all of that junk?
@Whaaat20084 жыл бұрын
@@X3000BRO I didn't even notice. We put a handful in each tire, so it's still mostly clay/sand.

This is what native Americans did. Please acknowledge that. Instead they were called savages and their way of life was destroyed. Now these are being marketed as Earthship homes!!
