I don't think this was statewide cause I live here in North Dakota and I don't remember this alert, also I'd guess they were found cause the last one I remember was the Cavalier kid found dead a few months ago

The EAS codes says it's for all counties in the state but I can't remember if they used the WEA to alert phones in the state

@@PiggyPorkchop aight thanks man, but what still confuses me is, do the Phone EAS's come from your personal Location?

@@Rinde007 phone alerts are sent to each cell tower in the state or that serves a county in the state and if your phone pings it the tower sends it. This is also why it's not uncommon to get the same alert multiple times because the tower can't tell if you already received it if you pinged a tower in a different state then pinged the alerting one again.
