EAS Scenario - The Asteroid Impact - Emergency Alert System

Emergency Alert System : At around 10:40am Pacific Time, there has been sighted by the Keck Observatory in Hawaii of an incoming non-terrestrial object heading straight for the Earth. The exact size and makeup of the object is believed to be an asteroid that had broken off of one of Saturn’s moons, and had been caught in Earths gravitational field.

Such object would be public knowleage years or at least months before impact. You wouldnt be getting emergency alerts about its size and impact zone 4 days before impact. Actually, you may be able to see it in daylight since it would be a giant comet, saturns moons have a lot of water

I enjoy these emergency scenarios and the graphics you use. They seem far more engaging and manage to hold my attention far longer than the usual EAS format. I honestly think this is what actual emergency alerts should look like. They even have far more realism compared with other creators. Nice fucking job.

Wouldn't it be tracked like, months before the impact? We continuously track near earth objects. Such a large object would surely be tracked a long time beforehand, and interception courses could be plotted accordingly for nuclear termination of the rock. Or atleast that's what I believe.

What would absolutely terrify me would be not knowing that the EAS voice was actively giving me bad advice and getting me into more trouble - when I hear that alarm I always expect that the voice knows exactly what to do and the most bone-chilling thought would be something that tells you to actively put yourself in harms way (see channel 66- Contingency or one of the SCP-001 When Day Breaks EAS ones)
