I sometimes use tape to hold nuts or bolts in a socket. I've had to do that at work some when working with stainless steel fasteners

Your lucky you don't have ac. My 97 ? The AC line is right in front of thermostat and that's why the fan , shroud clutch needs removed Ty for video

So did you have heat before? After? What temp tstat did you use? Our 94...the 192° tstat never opens and the engine always runs cold. No heat because the tstat never opens.

nah didn't have heat. figured it was stuck open not closed because when it's open then the fluid stays cooler. Replacing the thermostat did not fix my issue. Unfortunately my issue is in the heater core. Somehow I guess it's gunked up inside

Call a local parts store they’ll get you a rubber gasket
