Ben - you know that I've been a huge fan for the longest time. You've always been my biggest inspiration on a creative level but these latest 5 or so videos... they really, really hit different. I needed these videos more than I realised. I've definitely been on my own spiritual journey the past couple of years and it's amazing to see where your own journey has led you brother. It's also so amazing to see you buzzed about photo/video again. I fell off the creative wagon through covid and have myself just found my love of the art again. So looking forward to this new style of content, man!

This is actually very evident and proven with sleep paralysis. People who think about/are scared or anxious about having sleep paralysis even though they have never had it before can experience it just from thinking about it for extended periods.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you Ben! P.s I only rediscovered you the other day after I was culling my 450 youtube subscription list to the people I really watch often and love. And I know for sure the universe led me to you again, but more importantly the only reason I stopped watching you was because the algorithm took over and 5 years later here I am catching up on your videos and absolutely loving the person you have become. I really cannot thank you the universe enough for magnetising me back to you, it's really what I needed to hear and your authenticity is so contagious. Keep up living this beautiful life. Thank you!

Lots of good advice, as always. One tip I've found to limit phone usage is to use the built in "limiters" on my devices. On Apple it's called Screen Time and on Android its called Digital Wellbeing. Once it's set up you get reminders before app timers are up and reports to show how long you use your phone. It's really insighful (and free!)

the fear narratives are problematic but the bigger problem is this constant stimulation from things on a screen...whether its something positive, negative or neutral. also artificial lights have only been around for a century and i think that is also doing something to us. or it keeps us stuck in in the past which divides us from other people or something like that. lately i have been spending time chilling on the floor against the wall w/ an eye mask and without music. so its like a combination of sensory deprivation and grounding. i just started on this and i'm interested to see if there will be some kind of break in consciousness by interrupting all the media and sensory input. i definitely noticed some new stuff unfolding already. i think most people dont want much out of this life. they want to keep it simple and enjoy some relative freedom and ease of living. personally i dont want much. i see a lot of people who have pressure in their life whether its financial or something else. my interest is to live without as much pressure and also be able to get plenty of sleep. and then maybe there is room for meeting someone random or taking an adventure, or creating something artistic...but no guarantees. i think u are more interested in a new age style of living where you can sculp out a dream life. most people arent in that position to change a whole lot in their physical world and they would be more interested in being free psychologically or something. the physical world is kind of a mess anyway. its nice to have a sense that this whole period we are in is very insubstantial whether u have a dream life or a miserable life in the physical. often i feel the happiest i can be is when i'm taking a nap. i think that says something about how humanity needs to rest for a while and rest the senses. im not giving up on the physical world though. i could see a better life w/ greater motivation if i was in a different country or if i lived in the east

Love this thank you for sharing, I enjoy the simple things too, I have found a lot of contentment and peace over the last few years and it’s come from taking back my focus, putting it towards something even if it’s meditation or simply being present with nature or any mundane moment that life brings, no need to go wild with material manifestation, but also why not if it’s positive and brings joy, I feel like I’m playing in the arena of creation and I’m now discovering what I actually desire not just what I’ve been conditioned to desire, it’s wonderful! Blessings 🙏🏼

@@benbrown ya thats all good stuff for sure. i was just gonna say that i stopped paying attention to politics and national media stuff a long time ago. but i'm still unhappy so i know its not a complete answer. thats why i think there could be a greater thing going on w/ stimulation from screens in general. a lot of things on screens are also reinforcing a national identity which is comforting for a lot of people even if its fear based. but to grow we have to move out of a national identity and come into our actual universal self. so ya i think you are moving into more of that universal mind and going about it more radically which can be difficult when our neighbors are still very nationalized...or at least seem that way

Ben, so conflicting! The things your spirit dislikes, are the same things you have to continue to embrace to get back to your full "potential". The value that you offer is only as valuable as the many eyes that watch it, or the many clicks or likes you get. This value system is screwed up. It undervalues your energy. A like doesn't express spirituality or appreciation for it and doesn't align with your spirit or your message. Your value and effort is acknowledged by money and personal satisfaction (millions of views). That's the confusion and conflict I'm feeling right now watching all of your recent videos. In the end you still want and love things, and to get those things you need money, and that's where spirituality and philosophy doesn't necessarily align. Your gift is to put your creativity into beautiful films and sharing it with all of us. You made us feel good. It's a simple concept, but you burnt yourself out doing that for us. In the past few years you've been trying to get back to a different way of achieving what you had, without doing the same thing in exactly the same way (thousands of hours of shooting and editing film on your own for our benefit.) Getting the money shots! You've been an athlete a the top of the ladder of success, and you know what it took to get there. Relentless, mind-numbing repetitive practice. Wake up, get up, and turn up - no matter how much you didn't want to! In the end you achieved the accolades through hard work. It is what it is and that's what you need to do. I feel like you're looking back at that person questioning why you did it? Sometimes we look so hard for the meaning of life that we forget to live! The system we live in and the way we were brought up, the values and everything that we know about our world is not at all what you're seeking. That's the biggest f-up! It's like we need to start to relearn everything from scratch, reprogram/wire our brains and value system to understand our souls. I think this is where you are, but you're trying to merge it in this world we live in, with the values you were taught (and the new ones you've learnt) and the routines and vices you hold. It's difficult man. Thank you for your honesty. I hope you find the right balance for you!
