Thanks for the video! A tip to anyone doing this in survival, I removed the 2 glass from the dispenser level or adult cow height and replaced them with stone slabs. This way you can use a sword with looting and fire aspect to get more leather drops and cooked beef. PLUS you get all the XP from the cows!

I recommend using trapdoors in area of cow storing area for breeding if you are making this farm in survival because cow sees trapdoor as a full block and it is easy for them to fall there

I’ve tried several and hands down yours works best simple with the least amount of loss I’m on bedrock realm and this one kills it literally lol great job!

As a refugee from Java, I miss entity cramming but love this farm. You can also set up observers that trigger the lava when a cow grows.

This design can be used for a pig farm too if you use slabs instead of signs, and I haven't tried it yet but I think it could probably be used for chickens and sheep, too, using the slabs instead of signs

its the easiest but also super loud.....like u want to build this somewhere where u spend 0 time. If u want to build it next to ur other farms or in ur base, I suggest putting the water 2 blocks back behind the main cows in a 1x1 hole and then closing the access to the main cows with a block, when u gona feed the cows just get rid of the block and the water should still flow the baby cows to the front. works like a charm for me and I dont have to keep my audio at 0 when I am near it. It does make the build slightly longer but trust its worth.

To collect X.P build a small room under the hoppers to collect them..I use the same method with the mob tower. My first hack I found lolol still learning thou

It seems like the lava burns up the drops when the cows die. I kill like 20 cows in the lower area, but they all collectively drop like 3 leather and 2 raw beef because the lava destroys most of it.

Idk why but my farm is not working well idk if i have too much cows or what because the cows aren't getting pushed back and they keep swimming the other direction of the water and also not many baby cows go through the hole and also get stuck with the big cows i might have something messed up idk please help

Why does the lava spit out and then not disappear, it makes me use multiple buckets and then just stays inside the farm I have to break the glass and get it again with a bucket

I tried this yesterday in bedrock creative mode but didnt seem to drop any meat. Edit: My issue was the hopper wasn't properly pointing toward the chest worked fine after that. Though I did notice if I fed them wheat I wouldn't always the number of baby cows to be alot in the chamber..in fact alot of times id see myself gettong experience as if stuff is dying in the top chamber before the babies can all fully go down?

put your looting sword on your off hand and use a fodder sword and youll still get effects for the enchantment but you wont use up the durability

Instead of buttons use trap doors so you can open and close them to loot and breed cows easily.

I'm in bedrock and my lava doesn't stay in the bucket when you flip the lever back. Even quickly, the lava dumps completely and doesn't disappear. Did I do something wrong?

I had the same issue with water buckets. Using a button and clicking it once to dispense the water and a second time to suck it back into the dispenser worked for me. Might work with lava in the same way

@obivandamme I think the lever being switched twice could also work but I need to test it. A button also worked for me, 2 presses to pour the lava and put it back into the bucket. Maybe I just needed to flip the lever twice like I push the button twice. Lol

yes actually, replace the bottom 2 glass with slabs, dont even include the dispenser or lever, and also put down 2 carpert on top of the hoppers so u can as well get xp out of it without xp getting stuck in hopper gaps

I guess you forgot to mention that a bucket of Lava was needed for the Dispenser. It was easy enough to figure out for someone that has built a few farms, but for someone relatively new to it, it may not be...

You can also just put snow there and then cook the beef to get some extra xp since bedrock mob spawn farms are so bad

A button would be better than a lever, you have to click the button twice for disperse, twice again for collecting the lava. A button will halve it, click once for disperse laval, press again to withdraw. There's videos on how to redstone a lava blade though about.

no but it’s cause all the babies will go down and you’ll only ever have 2 cows, would be slow, so you want to block it to have very many cows in the water first

You need to flick the lever up and down. Let it fill both blocks then flick it up and down again. The lava will go back into the dispenser.

I can think of two things, one being the items aren't reaching the hoppers below, and two being the items getting destroyed by the lava. Further than that idk, good luck.

@@crypticangell i figured it out! i had the hoppers facing the wrong way! it was really finicky so i had to replace the chest with stone blocks to make sure the pipes led the way i wanted then replaced it back with the chest

​@@jakedempsey5405 you can do it without opening the chest, just crouch while you look at the chest and place the hopper, crouching makes it so that you can connect the hopper without just opening the chest

The materials list for the cow farm doesn't include the lava or placing it in the dispenser. Otherwise seems like it will be a good farm, I just didn't know I needed lava.
